McCants butta un pò via una partita dove ha a disposizione ben 36 minuti, peccato, resta comunque un giocatore su cui rifondare se mai la franchigia avesse intenzione di farlo

Già, dodici tiri da tre e neanche uno da due.

Eppure è in grado di attacare il canestro molto bene.

Comunque per il resto della stagione prevedo un minutaggio di questo tipo, intanto ormai è andata e tanto vale dare esperienza ai giovani e prendersi qualcuno di valido al draft. Anche se prenderne 20 dai raptors non deve essere molto piacevole per KG.

Beh ok che McCants è un ottimo prospetto, però non mi pare proprio un giocatore su cui fondare una squadra NBA :gazza:

Dopo aver sprecato 25 punti di vantaggio (+14 a cinque minuti dal termine) si vince con una rubata a pochi secondi dallo scadere contro i Knicks.
Oltre all'immenso Garnett, bravi Ricky e Mccants. Anche se non sò quanto ci convenga vincere molte partite ormai.

Garnett ha fatto questa dichiarazione:

I've always said I'll be in Minnesota as long as they want me," Garnett said after scoring 26 points and grabbing 15 rebounds in the Wolves' 98-94 victory over Marbury and the New York Knicks. "I don't think I can take another one of these rebuilding stages.

Dato che sicuramente l'anno prossimo sarà un anno di ricostruzione temo che saluteremo il bigliettone.

Kevin Garnett said he would welcome the opportunity to play with Stephon Marbury again.

The issue is geography, given that Garnett plays for the Timberwolves and Marbury for the New York Knicks. It would take a trade to reunite them.

"I've never been opposed to a reunion," Garnett said Sunday. "But I've always let him know that I'm going to be in 'Sota and he's always let me know that he's going to be in New York. I guess we've got a problem."

Whether Marbury and Garnett ever will be reunited has become fodder for speculation this season as both the Knicks and the Wolves have fallen out of playoff contention. Whether Garnett will ask to be traded has been debated nationally.

After the Wolves hung on to beat the Knicks 98-94 on Sunday, Garnett questioned whether Marbury would be willing to play with him. Marbury's unwillingness to defer to Garnett when they played together for more than two seasons in the late 1990s led to the Wolves trading Marbury.

"I have no beef with Steph," Garnett said. "I've never had a problem with Steph on the court. I don't think that's the question. You ask him, can he play with me?"

Marbury suggested before the game that he likes the idea of a reunion, and Garnett is on board with it.

"The chemistry Steph and I share is probably basketball. It's the (chemistry) I've shared with Spree (Latrell Sprewell). The ones I've shared with Sam Cassell and Sam Mitchell. It's an untalked about chemistry. It's one of those things that just happen. The moons align correctly, things happen. And I don't think he's made that connection with anybody else. I sacrificed. He sacrificed. We made it work."

Not well enough, apparently. But whether they can make it work a second time would take some growing up on their parts. They might have won championships had they stayed together in Minnesota.

"I always felt if you get a big guy and a point guard, you got it made," Knicks coach Larry Brown said. "And they were pretty special together.... Kevin, knowing him, he has no ego, he just loves to play and wants to win. I don't think he ever looks at himself as 'the man.' I think that was a perfect match. Looking back on it, it's kind of sad."

Garnett said he didn't consider it sad.

" 'Disappointed' is the word I'll use," Garnett said. "Steph has his health. From what I hear he's doing well, his family's doing well. He's still in the league. So, not sad. But when you have an opportunity like I felt we had we let slip through our fingers because of youth — ego could even be thrown in there — you'd have to ask Steph his reasons for leaving, but disappointment is the word that I would use."

4/5 del quintetto in doppia cifra (Davis 26+10!).

Il proprietario intanto dice che nè lui nè Garnett vogliono una trade col bigliettone. Io sono dubbioso, vedremo questa estate.

Dimostrazione di onnipotenza cestistica(praticamente ha fatto tutto compreso tenere Camby+ k-mart ad un 6/15 complessivo) o prestazione dettata dallafrustrazione diavere una squadra così?

questo è stato il mio pensiero nel vedere il tabellino oggi, e francamente non riesco a darmi una risposta...

Di niente, è stato un piacere. :gazza:
D'altronde non potevamo già terminare la nostra striscia di tredici sconfitte consecutive in trasferta.
Nè buttare via lo show offensivo del secondo quarto.

Per fortuna mancano solo 7 partite, quindi peggio di 31- 51 non finiamo.

Per me va via mancano troppi tasselli per farne una squadra da post season e non c'e' spazio salariale o contratti in scadenza per poter ambire a qualche addizione importante.l'asse Banks - Davis - KG può essere una parte di quintetto ma mancano un 2 con tanti punti e un C o una PF da affiancare a Kevin.McCants è un buon prospetto su cui lavorare ma KG ha 30 anni e non ha più tanta voglia di aspettare almeno credo, per contro il contratto di KG è difficilmente piazzabile dove si vuole, quindi si prevedono trattative lunghe anche perchè McHale non sembra un pollo qualsiasi che cede pezzi d'oro per patacche di latta.

Purtroppo sono abbastanza d'accordo con te su questa analisi. Peccato vedere i Wolves in queste condizioni e soprattutto KG che a 30 anni non si è neanche avvicinato all'anello. Sarebbe davvero triste vederlo partire da Minneapolis... spero solo non vada ai Lakers.

ora... tanto innocente il front office, in particolare McHale, non lo è... se a un grande campione non affianchi gli uomini giusti allora il tuo lavoro non lo fai appieno...

Se poi gli uomini che erano accanto erano giusti, ma complici 1000 motivi rinunci a loro senza trovare alternative decenti, allora è colpa tua.

Mettici anche una situazione salariale che non permette grandi manovre se prima non liberi il contratto di KG. Pochi contratti alti, ma gente (Hudson, Hassell, Blount, Jaric) che prende 5/6 milioni e che ha poco mercato.
