Tra l'altro Spagnuolo nella sua intervista ha dichiarato poi che il fatto di avere già i due coordinators non voluti da lui sarebbe stato (ovviamente) un problema per lui, ed è stata una delle ragioni che lo hanno convinto a rimanere a New York. :gazza:

Magari sto Zorn farà bene...ma la gestione dello staffing, per come ci si è arrivati, è stata a mio parere terribile !

Cioè, magari poi dimostrerà di avere doti nascoste e sarà un grande HC ma mi sembra una scelta come dire...un po' incauta. Se fossi un tifoso dei redskins sarei preoccupato e discretamente incazzato con Snyder.

Sono dieci anni che non sopporto Snyder, non preoccuparti....

Zorn viene nominato head coach senza avere esperienza almeno come offensive coordinator, è stato qb coach fino all'altro giorno. A questo punto farà head coach e gestirà contemporaneamente le chiamate offensive?
Ad ogni modo, Snyder è uno scellerato. Durante la offseason mi gaso perchè l'anno prossimo, mi dico, sarà diverso. Questa è sempre la solita merda.

mi sono appena visto il daily dell'ESPN.
è probabile che Johnson se ne vada da Cincinnati quest'anno e le destinazione più probabili sono Whashington e Philadelphia...

ma ai Redskins serve veramente spendere tanto su un WR? 

io lo vedrei meglio negli Eagles anche se francamente è probabile che donovan se ne vada (almeno così dicono i rumors...)  :gazza:

Non penso che Donovan se ne vada da Phila...nell'annata 09 ci sarà  . A phila si era fatto anche il nome di Larry F. e di stallworth  Comunque c'è anche Roy Williams e Booker sul mercato...più indicati per Was

Coming off a playoff season, the Redskins say they are putting more of a priority on retaining draft choices, developing their young players and learning from their days of errant spending on big-name free agents. But even if the opening days of the free agency/trading period are indeed more tranquil than in years past, that will not preclude the team from exploring numerous options to procure talent as Jim Zorn enters his first season as an NFL head coach.

"We'll look at any option that can help us, that makes sense, to improve the Redskins," Cerrato said. "I don't see us being a big player in the first couple of days of free agency."

This is a shallow free agent pool, made even thinner by the preponderance of teams putting franchise tags on players. The Redskins also have limited salary cap space, though more could be created quickly by restructuring existing contracts.

"With the free agency this year, there's not as many guys out there that there have been in the past," Cerrato said. "Over 50 percent of the free agents out there played less than 20 percent of the time. There's only going to be maybe 70 guys out there that have started eight games or more.

"So it's not a big crop. A lot of guys are going to re-sign probably before Friday. So it's a very limited group of players. I think there'll be a lot of crazy money spent early and things will settle down after that, which is kind of normal."

Snyder and Cerrato covet Cincinnati wide receiver Chad Johnson, but the Bengals remain steadfast they will not deal him. Washington also has interest in free agent wide receiver D.J. Hackett of the Seattle Seahawks, league sources said, but only at the right price. The Patriots' Randy Moss is the biggest name eligible for free agency, but several league sources said they would be shocked if he did not re-sign with New England.

"To add another receiver would be something we would be looking to do just for depth-wise," Cerrato said. "You get skinny in a hurry if Santana [Moss] goes down and if Antwaan [Randle El] goes down. You get real inexperienced quickly."

Cornerback is an area of need as well, with the Redskins among the teams inquiring about the Atlanta Falcons' DeAngelo Hall, league sources said. However, they are not expected to be a front-runner for him. New England's Asante Samuel is expected to garner a huge deal worth $10 million per season, but the San Diego Chargers' Drayton Florence could fill the role of a third cornerback with Washington and would come at a fraction of that cost.

'SKINS KEEP COLLINS

A league source tells us that the Redskins have reached an agreement to retain the services of quarterback Todd Collins.

Collins, 36, helped lead the 'Skins to the playoffs after starter Jason Campbell went down with a knee injury.

The Rams were believed to be interested in Collins, given that former Redskins' assistant Al Saunders, who brought Collins to D.C., is now the offensive coordinator in St. Louis.

Collins will presumably stay in the No. 2 spot behind Campbell, but Collins provides a quality insurance policy in the event of further injury to the 2005 first-rounder.

Bene, buone nuove Bro. Mi piace il fatto di tenere Collins. E' l'ideale per il backup a Campbell e lo si è gia' visto. Ottimo. Certo che un Chad Johnson mi farebbe diventare matto, ma non credo che possiamo arrivarci col cap, giusto?

Con il cap abbiamo sempre fatto miracoli :moggi: quindi ristrutturando 10.000 accordi senza tener conto della dead money direi che ce la possiamo fare. 

Scherzi a parte, non sembra che la dirigenza sia propensa a spendere molto nella offseason, Chad Johnson per talento farebbe impazzire anche me, mi preoccuperebbe dal lato caratteriale ma pazienza...in fondo non abbiamo un ricevitore primario e non abbiamo gente con taglia fisica, al di là di Chad secondo me la nostra prima scelta dovrebbe orientarsi su un prospetto alla Limas Sweed o Malcolm Kelly, ricevitori grossi, alti e di possesso.
Per la free agency mi auguro piuttosto la firma di Drayton Florence, che ci servirebbe per la profondità dei defensive backs.
