Re: Blazers in the Rose -Buona fortuna Brandon-
Mancava un pezzo:
At center, Chris Kaman is the most attractive unrestricted free-agent candidate. Roy Hibbert, Brook Lopez and Javale McGee are among the restricted free-agent post men. Two years ago, the Blazers offered restricted free agent Matthews a five-year, $32.9 million contract. Utah did not match the offer. "If there is somebody on that restricted list we feel strongly about, we'll make an offer," Miller says. "If the team matches, there's not a lot we can do. But we wouldn't take the approach that we shouldn't go after a player just because we think the team might match." Portland Tribune

Hickson has played well enough to earn an offer from Portland, too -- perhaps in the $5 million-per-year range. "J.J. has shown some good things in his short time with us," Miller says. "We'll see what his situation works out to be." The Blazers would like to take care of free-agent acquisitions before getting to the contracts of Batum and Hickson. "We'd like to spend our cap room first," Buchanan says. "Then you can go over (the cap) to re-sign your own guys." Portland Tribune

As of now, if you could choose between staying in Malaga, signing with another top European team or playing in the NBA, what would you choose? Joel Freeland: If I have a good option to stay, I'd stay in Malaga, no doubt. Diario Sur

Joel Freeland: Playing in the NBA is my goal, like with many other players. I've always said that. But I don't think about it, I only want to be here in Malaga. Diario Sur

Though Miller wouldn't confirm it, one person on the Blazers' search list as both a GM and coaching candidate is Hall-of-Famer Larry Brown, whose last coaching job was the Charlotte Bobcats.
larry brown?!?!?!!??!!? magari cazzo.........

I think at this point we are obligated to make the QO.
I would leave it at that, though. He’s a nice player but the PF position is stacked in the NBA right now and it is about to get a whole lot better with this next draft class. I would only be interested in a one year deal for Hickson. We should be saving our cap space so we can at least offer max contracts to CP3 and D12 next year. A lot of people are clamoring to use the cap space on Dragic, Asik, Batum and Hickson. That is not a recipe for post season success. That is a one and done team at best in my eyes. As a result of the amnesty on Roy we have the unique opportunity to get below the newly implemented salary floor. I see massive upside to havings gobs of cap space. We would be in a position to make a lopsided trade for a superstar where the other team does not have to take salary back. We would be one of the only teams that could offer a “rebuild in a day” trade package that is far more attractive than the deals that moved DWilliams, Carmelo and Chris Paul. If we go out and spend on “good but not great” players I fear we will be doomed to mediocrity for years to come.

Re: Blazers in the Rose -Buona fortuna Brandon-
