Sotto di 30 in casa contro i Nuggets. Ok mi sa che ho visto fin troppo. Ho paura che la testa sia rimasta a gara 6 a Miami... Certo come non capirli, ma ormai la nuova stagione è iniziata... I nuovi stan facendo fatica ad integrarsi, ma con i pochi allenamenti è il minore dei male, quel che preoccupa è il passo indietro fatto in difesa. Siamo vecchi, dobbiamo carburare, o quantomeno speriamo che sia così

Fortunatamente non ho visto la gara di ieri, ma nella prima stagionale Carter era da prendere a calci nel sedere. Un po' come tutti, per carità, ma lui più di tutti.
La cosa non mi stupisce, d'altra parte mi pare che né ai Magic né ai Suns lo ricordino con piacere.

Sembriamo un po' una squadra fatta con le figurine: Kidd, Nowitzki, Carter, Odom, Terry, ecc
Il problema è che alcuni non hanno la cattiveria degli scorsi anni, altri proprio non ce la fanno più e cambiare così tanto in una stagione particolare come questa di certo non aiuta. Completare la squadra durante il training camp pregiudica l'intesa e oltretutto ci sono 2 mesi in meno per trovare soluzioni.
La speranza è che certi nomi altisonanti si ricordino di essere famosi perchè bravi e traducano il tutto in campo con grandi prestazioni

p.s. se non arriva uno tra Williams e Howard siamo fottuti

altra gara finita all'intervallo..sean williams e roddy mi sono piaciuti, almeno loro una nota positiva...mahinmi direi che x essere il backup di haywood e gioca gli ultimi 3 minuti deve averne di fiducia da parte di carlisle..delonte continua non mettere un canestro..e vince ormai non tiene il passo di nessuno, forse dei mavs maniacs..ma wright come mai in borghese?già rotto o in ritardo di condizione?anche se, come si fa ad essere + in ritardo di così?!?!?speriamo di rimmeterci presto e che howard e dwill vadano a fine contratto x firmarli free agent amnistiando haywood..

Credo che il piano principale sia portare dwill a casa -se non erro è di Dallas-, il passaggio di consegne con kidd è degno di un grande film. :)

​That sound you just heard? That was any and all illogically bloated expectations for the Mavericks' season hitting the ground with a thud.
This isn't your typical championship defense. The Mavs made it clear in the off-season that they weren't content to merely bring back all of the components of last year's team, and essentially chose to surrender its position as a true title contender before the season even began. Change was prescribed. Adjustment was inevitable. And a period of painful growth -- which has begun with two blowout losses at home to the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets -- was all but certain.

In place of Tyson Chandler, J.J. Barea, and Caron Butler, Dallas added Lamar Odom, Vince Carter, Delonte West and a pair of young bigs in Sean Williams and Brandan Wright. This isn't a matter of fitting round pegs into square rotational holes, but reconceptualizing the pegs down to their most basic specifications. The Mavericks, who tip-off at 7 tomorrow against the Thunder, are a very different team this year than they were in 2010-2011 or have ever been before, and Rick Carlisle is working to figure out the most sensible ways to combine a group of versatile, unique players into a complete product. It's more difficult than it seems, and it could result in plenty of losses before Dallas is finally able to turn a corner.

That day is coming, even after the implosive start to the season. The Mavs will get more and more comfortable with each other and with the way their team operates on the whole, and they'll improve by leaps and bounds over the course of the year. I believe that. But while this team has a championship under its belt -- and a literal championship belt, for that matter -- they're no longer poised to be a top-tier title contender. With the direction the franchise has taken, it was just never meant to be; Dallas is doing its absolute best to compete under the circumstances, but Mark Cuban and Donnie Nelson still made the decision to forgo re-signing Tyson Chandler in order to save the team's long-term finances.

It may be too early to say, but letting Chandler walk seems like the right move. Not necessarily because the Mavs will have a shot (and only a shot, regardless of Dwight Howard's interest and Deron Williams' local ties) at landing a premier free agent, but because Chandler could have potentially contributed to a nightmarish financial situation a few years down the line. Dallas would look better this season with Chandler as the starting center, but don't confuse that immediate hypothetical improvement with what lies in the best interests of the franchise.

The Mavericks have played some pretty miserable basketball thus far. There's just no way around that. There's no way to downplay their 25th-ranked offense, their 24th-ranked defense, and their underwhelming start in virtually every statistical measure. They've lost both of their games in the first half, and struggled to even save face. They've blown their first two games in a fashion unprecedented for a defending champion, suggesting rather strongly that this team is not made up of the same title-worthy fiber of last year's squad.

These are truths that have been made more real with two huge losses, but they're precisely the early trials that should have been expected for this team. It gets better; with a roster this flexible and this talented, it has to.

La buona notizia comunque è che siete tornati ad essere una squadra di basket, e l'avete fatto a casa di una contender.

Carter orrendo come al solito, fino alla bomba apparentemente della vittoria.
Odom totalmente fuori forma, non ne ha azzeccata una. Non può che migliorare. Resta da capire se e come possa accoppiarsi con Dirk, riuscire ad inserirlo appieno sarebbe un tremendo upgrade per quando farà caldo.

Certo che Marion poteva uscire un pò più aggressivo da quei blocchi . Ci hanno dato la versione di Odom scazzata , speriamo che si svegli.

Beh almeno stavolta l'abbiamo persa all'ultimo secondo!
Peccato, ma KD ha messo una tripla allucinante, con tre Mavs che gli stavano andando addosso.

Comunque risultato che fa ben sperare, in casa di un'ottima squadra, ma restano tantissimi punti interrogativi. Odom sta tirando con il 14% e in generale la prestazione della panchina oggi è stata veramente deludente. Andatevi a guardare l'apporto delle due panche anche a livello di plus/minus. Terry -21, Lamar -18, Mahinmi -14, Williams -10 (in 4'). Dall'altra parte +22 per Harden, +16 per Collison.
Risultati ovviamente contrapposti per i quintetti: con Dirk in campo abbiamo fatto +19.

A parte tutto, abbiamo concesso ancora una volta percentuali dal campo clamorose: i Thunder hanno tirato con il 58% DAL CAMPO (e il 42 da 3). Solo che ci sono state 26 TO. C'è ancora molto da lavorare e si sapeva, da oggi siamo ufficialmente la peggiore difesa Nba per punti concessi
Vediamo di tornare alla vittoria, ora si gioca in casa contro i Raptors, altrimenti andremo 0-4 (come nel 2007).
