Sicuramente. Va anche detto che ad inizio anno mai avrei pensato di poter lottare fino alla fine per il secondo posto, quindi paradossalmente bene così :D
Stanotte la vedo dura. It's a pivotal game.

Situazione aggiornata:

2 - Dallas 53-27
3 - Denver 52-28
4 - Utah 52-28
5 - Phoenix 51-28
6 - Oklahoma City 49-30
7 - San Antonio 49-31
8 - Portland 48-31

Oggi
Lakers-Portland
Golden State-Oklahoma City
Phoenix-Houston

Lunedì
San Antonio-Minnesota
Denver-Memphis
Portland-Oklahoma City
Clippers-Dallas

cazzo stanotte siamo su SI, è persa  :disgusto:
Quote of the Night, from Jason Terry, on the increases in pressure and minutes and demands:
“We have all summer to rest.’’
:truzzo:
What will it take for the Mavs to secure the No. 2 seed in the West? Is there a guarantee of home-court advantage in the first round of the NBA Playoffs? Who are the Mavs going to play?
Some simple explanations … seriously, now that Dallas is 80 games into this thing, this isn’t as complicated as you think!
Here’s the simplest way to explain the formulas that will keep Dallas is second place:
*The Mavs are the No. 2 seed if they win out. Beat the Clippers tonight and beat the Spurs at the AAC on Wednesday and the Mavs are the second seed.
*Or … Dallas can lose one game as long as Utah loses one game (the Jazz are at Golden State on Tuesday and then at home against the Suns on Wednesday).
*Or … Dallas can lose one game as long as Denver wins its final (tonight at home against Memphis and then Tuesday at Phoenix).
     What about home-court advantage?
That is now guaranteed for the first round, not by virtue of the Southwest Division title (that’s not enough), but rather by virtue of the records and tiebreakers that guarantee that Dallas at 53-27. (If we’re calculating this properly, by the way, only the Lakers and the Mavs have locked themselves in to that favorable position.)
If the Mavs handle their business to remain in second, they be the No. 2 team starting against the No. 7 team. In this scenario, they will also have home-court advantage in the second round against the winner of the 3-vs.-6 matchup.
Who are the Mavs going to play?
One of the four bottom-tier West playoff teams, of course. So in order, mostly likely either Portland or Oklahoma City … with a possibility of San Antonio … and a remote possibility of Phoenix.
Dirk Still Has No Plans To Opt Out

Kobe Bryant signed a three-year extension with the Lakers last week, which has brought about questions regarding Dirk Nowitzki's future in Dallas.

Nowitzki's contract ran concurrent with Bryant's old deal, which Los Angeles extended through the 2014 season.

The Dallas Morning News writes the Mavericks will almost certainly offer Nowitzki a similar, albeit cheaper, deal at some point.

Nowitzki can opt out of his contract at the end of the season, but he doesn't plan to. He'll make $20 million next season.

"I haven't talked to Mark [Cuban], and he's the guy," Nowitzki said.

"There hasn't been any conversation whatsoever about that. As far as I'm concerned, I'll play this season out and see how it goes and then a lot can happen in this business. But I still don't plan on opting out or anything like that. Nothing's changed on that."

Situazione aggiornata

2 - Dallas 54-27
3 - Utah 53-28
4 - Phoenix 53-28
5 - Denver 53-29
6 - Portland 50-31
7 - San Antonio 50-31
8 - Oklahoma City 49-32

The Last Waltz

Dallas-San Antonio
Oklahoma City-Memphis
Portland-Golden State
Utah-Phoenix
1 The Mavs are the 2 seed and play San Antonio in Round 1 if they beat the Spurs at the AAC Wednesday night. (DallasBasketball.com will have full coverage all day and all night!)
    2. The Mavs can lose and be the 2 seed with a Utah loss to Phoenix and would play San Antonio if
Portland wins … or play Portland if Portland loses (at home to Golden State).
  3. The Mavs are the 3 seed if they lose and Utah wins … and would play SA if Portland loses or
play Portland if Portland wins.
Additionally: A Mavs win would lock Portland in at 6 and leave only the Utah-Phoenix game to decide
remaining seeds.

If Dallas wins, then Utah could be 3 or 5. Phoenix could be 3 or 4. Denver
could be 4 or 5.

If Dallas loses Utah could then be 2 or 5. Phoenix could be 3 or 4 and Denver
could be 4 or 5.

Also San Antonio and Portland would still be in limbo for 6 and 7.
