Il doom è senz' altro epico e oscuro ma non lo definirei triste, anzi i dischi dei Candlemass caricano come pochi.

Quando sento with or without you degli u2 la mia voglia di suicidio subisce un'impennata degna di nota. Bellissima e tristissima, per me. Oppure Street spirit dei radiohead, a tratti straziante.
Se poi apprezzi il genere, il primo movimento della sonata al chiaro di luna di beethoven è stupenda e malinconica.
