Oggi nel minicamp abbiamo 15 giocatori, già arrivati.
Fra il 20 ed il 23 giugno partono le nostre short-seasons. Le altre partiranno in date simili, quindi comunque fra una settimana o 10 giorni.

Una settimana? Non so di preciso quando inizia la Rookie League...ma poi dipende: Sanchez per esempio tra una settimana dovrebbe andare nell'affiliata di A dei Pirates.

Sto leggendo in questo momento un articolo su Sports Illustrated proprio su Bryce Harper, mamma mia fa impressione a leggere quello che riesce a fare a 16 anni. Ecco come inizia l'articolo:

"Baseball's LeBron. His name is Bryce Harper. You don't know him, but every big league scounting director does. He hits the ball a desert mile, clocks 96 on the gun, and he's only 16, more advanced than A-Rod and Junior were at the same age. And his ambition is as great as his talent."

Tornando un secondo su Bryce Harper.

Bryce, then 12, was playing in a tournament in Alabama on a field with 250-foot fences. It was a trip Sheri (his mother, ndr) could not attend. When Bryce phoned home, Sheri asked him how he'd done. "I did all right," he replied.
Later one of the coaches called Sheri. "Did he say anything to you?" the coach asked.
"No, not really," Sheri said.
"He went 12 for 12. Eleven home runs and a double."

PS Tra le altre cose detiene il record per aver battuto l'HR più lungo nella storia di Tropicana Field (lo stadio dei Rays) - 502 feet - a 16 anni, in un "home run hitting showcase" lo scorso gennaio.

Harper tra l'altro è già stato avvicinato da Boras pure lui, tra lui e Strasburg potremmo essere sui $100 M.

Cmq non capisco come tu possa arrivare a 100M$ ?!
Strasburg prenderà qualcosa tra i 10-15M$ di bonus, magari anche 20M, ma non di più. Se supponiamo la stessa somma per Harper arriviamo a 40M al massimo. Che già sono una somma stratosferica per 2 giocatori che non potrebbero mai lanciare un solo IP o avere un singolo AB in MLB.
