mi piacciono gli episodi più mid-tempo, tipo "Slow Down", "Real Love", "Let Me Give The World To You". Dal punto di vista del songwriting penso siano dei pezzi davvero eccellenti, all'altezza delle migliori creazioni di Billy Corgan.
In generale non mi piace la produzione di quel disco. Forse voleva ottenere un "wall of sound" alla Phil Spector, ma a mio parere questa scelta ha appiattito il tutto in un pappettone sonoro, un brodo primordiale in cui spesso annegano tastiere e basso. Una produzione un pò più sobria e "asciutta" (alla Brendan O'Brien, che adoro) avrebbe reso molta più giustizia ad un disco pieno di spunti interessanti.

Si ma visto che nn ero sicuro, anzi dopo averlo scritto mi è venuto il dubbio, sono andato a controllare.... E avevo scritto una fregnaccia, il basso nel disco lo suona sempre D'Arcy (tradotto, significa che quando non lo suona Corgan lo suona D'Arcy :lol2: )

Quelle sono anche tra le mie preferite del disco, mi piace anche la versione di Try, più di quella di Machina 1. Mi piace anche Speed Kills e poi c'è Cash Car Stars che è una canzone del cazzo ma per certi versi è interessante

Siamese Dream forse è quello prodotto in modo più sobrio, ed è il mio preferito in assoluto. Forse perchè privo di lungaggini, oltre al valore assolutamente stellare del suo contenuto.
Curioso che io abbia cominciato ad apprezzare i Pumpkins in età più adulta, forse l'umore dei loro dischi si sposa meglio con la disillusione che in genere si manifesta quando non si hanno più diciott'anni. O forse all'epoca ero più impegnato a "studiare" i mostri sacri del passato.
In ogni caso, tra 10-20 anni saranno per i nostri figli quello che per noi sono gli Who o i Led Zeppelin.
