Cioè, i White Sox vorrebbero mantenere lo status quo che gli garantisci accordi pubblicitari uguali a quelli dei Cubs nonostante abbiamo meno tifosi mentre a Cuban questo non sarebbe andato giù...giusto?

I was going to have to try to negotiate the very best deals possible for the Cubs, even if it was at the expense of the White Sox.

Insomma, Cuban voleva entrare e fare una rivoluzione. Non glielo avrebbero mai permesso.

Comunque è stato stupido a far trasparire le proprie volontà. D'altra parte è anche vero che il suo personaggio è ampiamente conosciuto e tutto questo sarebbe stato prevedibile. Infatti il futuro proprietario dei Cubs alla fine non sarà lui, ma sarà uno approvato da tutti gli altri, anche da Reinsdorf.

Beh, però cambiare 'sta cosa mi sembra il minimo. Se i Sox han meno tifosi cazzi loro, non vedo perchè debbano rimetterci i Cubs...

Stavo quotando un post più lungo :lol2: hai cancellato la parte in cui definisci la MLB una mafia, ma lo è...alla fine chi è amico di Selig (di Milwaukee...non voglio insuinare niente eh, ma i Brewers erano la sua squadra) ha più benefici...

According to Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times, "those close to Jim Hendry expect him to restart the Jake Peavy talks" now that the Cubs have unloaded salary with the Jason Marquis trade. Hendry admitted yesterday he hopes to add another pitcher before Opening Day. Wittenmyer notes that the Cubs' 2010 payroll was unaffected by the recent moves, so Hendry would need a nod from the new ownership group before taking on Peavy's contract. The new ownership could be in place with just enough time for the Cubs to swing a Peavy deal, Wittenmyer believes.

As alternatives, Wittenmyer suggests Braden Looper and Tim Redding would fit better financially than Derek Lowe.

concordo assolutamente.. al limite provare a dare una chance ad Angel Guzman che in Winter League non sembra risentire della TJ surgery dello scorso anno

è come se fossi lì... non mi stancherò mai di Wrigley Field! l'unica cosa che mi manca è una partita vista dai Bleachers (quasi impossibile trovare i tickets)
