Ovviamente i nuovi owner avranno il diritto di scegliere di riallocare la squadra scelta e darle un nuovo nome, oppure mantenere quello attuale. The Gift è l'unico owner tra quelli attuali che ovviamente può scegliere se cambiare nome e località oppure rimanere in quel di Springfield, IL.
L'unica limitazione è che una città può avere massimo due squadre, perciò L.A. e Seattle non possono ospitare un altra franchigia.
Intanto con l'ultima giornata della regular season abbiamo già pronta la draft order list, senza considerare le 4 squadre nella lottery, che verrà effettuata il giorno successivo all'ultima partita delle Finals
