Un piccolo "sondaggio", che potrebbe servirmi per uno studio che ho in mente.
Vi chiedo di dirmi com'è secondo voi una bella partita di baseball.
Mi spiego meglio.
Immaginate di avere una giornata libera da passare allo stadio; le due squadre non vi interessano (amori, odi, rivalità nella corsa alla Division)... solo una partita di baseball.
Come vorreste che fosse?
- Punteggio basso o alto?
- Molti strikeout? Molti HRs?
- Divario nel punteggio sempre altalenante tra 1-2 punti di vantaggio per una o l'altra squadra? O piuttosto una che prende il largo e poi è incredibilmente rimontata?

Dite quello che volete.

partita tiratissima, con punteggio basso, due grandi pitchers sul monte e molti K, decisa nella parte bassa del nono inning (o agli extra)

va bene?

Difficile dirlo perchè ogni situazione ha il suo bello...

Comunque forse PUNTEGGIO BASSO con un bel duello tra lanciatori (di conseguenza DIVERSI STRIKEOUT) e partita che si decide nel finale. Si può decidere 1) con un HR risolutivo in una partita che è sempre stata in parità, 2) con il compimento della rimonta della squadra sempre in svantaggio, 3) con un'incredibile rincorsa che però si esaurisce al nono e non si compie il miracolo.

p.s. è vero anche che rimonte a suon di punti sono difficili da vedersi in una partita tirata tra 2 lanciatori dominanti...

Adoro i pitching duels. Adoro le partite con punteggi bassissimi e in cui i lanciatori dominano. Però, ogni tanto è bello vedere qualche punto. Quindi, direi:

- Punteggio complessivo delle due squadre: non superiore a 8
- Divario massimo: 3
- Sul monte vorrei solo un power pitcher; dall'altra vorrei un lanciatore alla Greg Maddux. Entrambi devono lanciare per almeno 6 inning completi: solo a partire dal 7° inning, sono possibili cambi sul monte.
- Numero massimo di fuoricampo: 2. Almeno uno deve essere un solo-HR.
- Andamento della partita... La squadra A segna 1 o 2 punti nella prima o seconda ripresa e tiene il vantaggio fino alla sesta-settima. Poi, la squadra B pareggia e forse si porta in vantaggio. Nell'ottavo o nel nono inning, la squadra A cerca la rimonta: può andare a buon fine oppure no.

Punteggio medio. Finisce tipo 5 a 4 per la squadra di casa (o anche viceversa, a dire il vero). Con giocate decisive nel nono inning. Un paio di fuoricampo. un buon numero di valide e alcuni out per toccata su corse. una squadra schiera "partente-setup-closer (7-1-1 IP)" l'altra deve tirare giù il partente al quarto e rilievi fanno un gran lavoro.

altra partita ideale: quella dove in difesa (con allen in battuta) faccio il terzo out in tuffo sulla linea di foul e in attacco (con allen sul monte) faccio una walkoff hit. ( :hehe: )

Punteggio basso, quasi bassissimo... lanciatori dominanti contro battitori che però non stanno solo a guardare. Giocate difensive al limite della fisica e un fantastico triple play!!!

"All that was left now was the fifth game of the series. The winner went on to play Cleveland in the American League Championship Series, while the loser went home. It was the fourth time within six days the Mariners faced a game they had to win. This one turned out to be the most memorable of all. It started out, again, with the Mariners falling behind. Former Cy Young award winner David Cone had a 4-2 lead after seven innings, and seemed to be cruising to a victory. Griffey narrowed it to 4-3 in the eight with his fifth home run of the series. Then something inexplicable happened. Still in the eighth, Cone loaded the bases. He was clearly exhausted, having thrown over 140 pitches - a very high total. Yankee manager Buck Showalter kept Cone in, perhaps hoping his extraordinary control of his pitches would create a double play. Instead, he loaded the count to pinch hitter Doug Strange and then walked him. The game was tied.

It was into extra innings they went. Piniella decided to pitch Randy Johnson in the 9th inning and stayed with him. Johnson had only pitched n relief once before in his career to that point, and was only pitching on one day's rest. But Piniella, a great "hunch" manager, decided to use him. Johnson shut the Yanks down in the 9th and 10th, but allowed a run in the top of the 11th inning. All the pressure was on the Mariners now.

Then came the greatest moment I can ever remember seeing in sports. Better than anything in my 29 years. Excuse me while I gush even more than usual. Pitching for the Yankees in relief was another Cy Young winner, Jack McDowell. First up for the Mariners in the 11th was little Joey Cora, a spark plug of a player who plays with tremendous passion. Cora dropped a perfect bunt down the first base line, eluded the tag of first baseman Don Mattingly, and stood at first. The din at the Kingdome began to rise. Next up was Griffey, who had already hit five home runs in the series. He tomahawked a high McDowell fastball and suddenly there were men at first and third, no out. Coming to bat was Edgar Martinez, who hit an astonishing .571 in the series. On his third pitch, McDowell threw a slider inside and Edgar knocked it to left. In came Cora, with Griffey motoring like a jet plane around the bases. The throw came in, it was late, and the place erupted in excitement. Players mobbed Griffey and Martinez and the place went crazy. For the fourth time in a row, the Mariners had come back to play another day. The energy, the excitement, the enthusiasm, were infectious. Liisa and I were so loud in our cheering after this turn of events that our kids, noisy people that they are, told us to be quiet."

senz'altro svuotamento delle panchine per una serie di hit by pitch.

mi fanno impazzire le salvezze con uomini sulle basi.

mi esaltano anche le super prestazione dei carneadi.

non male anche la vittoria nel 2oo4(o 5?) di mil vs was per un balk a base cariche nel nono con 2 out.
la partita nota come "balkee in milwaukee"...

Naturalmente una partita con molti HR, il massimo dell'espressione del baseball.

Io ho assistito a una partita dominata da RJ 11K noia totale
