I Rangers sono i Phillies della AL con la differenza che i Phillies un pitcher e mezzo ce l'hanno, i Rangers no. Se lo avessero lotterebbero almeno per la WC (wild card eh! :lol2:)

New York - During a game versus the New York Yankees, the struggling Texas Ranger relief pitchers were incredibly shaken by a telephone conversation between Ranger Bullpen Coach Dom Chiti and someone in the dugout, Underneath Sports has learned.

"It started out as a routine phone call to the bullpen," said Ranger closer C.J. Wilson. "It was the sixth inning and reliever Joaquin Benoit was beginning to struggle against the very potent Yankee offense. Since it appeared to be time for a pitching change we didn't think anything of the bullpen phone ringing. We continued to be under the impression everything was normal until Chiti started laughing hysterically."

According to Ranger relief pitchers, talks between the bullpen coach and dugout are usually very quick and businesslike. On this day however, the call resembled a conversation between two teenage girls.

"After Coach Chiti listened to whoever was on the other end for about 30-seconds he busted out laughing. Then he turned and looked directly at me before slapping his knee a few times and saying, 'Stop it! Seriously, I can't breath,'" said Ranger reliever Jamey Wright. "Why was he looking at me and laughing! I hadn't given up an earned run since we visited the Nationals on June 20th and my ERA was under 4! It wasn't under 4 after the day was over, however."

Perhaps due to the trauma brought upon by the phone call, Mr. Wright went out and gave up six earned runs to the Yankees. "I have no one to blame but myself, but just can't help but think that if I wasn’t paranoid about being laughed at by the coaching staff, I might have pitched more effectively."

Immaginiamo un pò fra 2 anni magari:

1B-Salty/Ramirez
2B-Kinsler
SS-Arias/Andrus
3B-"Father Nature" Davis
CF-Hamilton
RF-Cruz
LF-???
DH-???

Insomma è un lineup pazzesco, molto equilibrato in velocità (kinsler, andrus) e potenza (davis, hamilton, cruz).

Se riuscissero a pigliarsi qualche pitcher forte potrebbero davvero diventare fortissimi.

Davis non è un terza base. Il lato sinistro dell'infield è scarso difensivamente, ed una volta che rimuovi Davis, anche offensivamente. Non hanno angoli esterni adeguati. Non hanno pitching.

Si, hanno roba devastante qui e lì, ma hanno talmente tanti di quei buchi.......

Sì però webba ha ragione: a loro serviva di più un pitcher forte o una mazza buona? Di mazze buone ne hanno, di pitcher no.

lapsus mio ovviamente, scusate...davis in 1B, ma poi come 3B chi mettono?
per lato sinistro dell'infield intendi SS e 3B? Io ho letto che Andrus sia un SS molto forte difensivamente. In 3B non so chi mettere, anche perchè ho solo messo solo giocatori buoni che ci sono già o che possono venir su dalla farm. Idem LF e DH.

Poi ovviamente serve del pitching.
