Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jack Zduriencik tonight gave the following update on Mariners outfielder Ichiro Suzuki.
Ichiro has missed the past three Cactus League games (March 31-April 2).

Ichiro was examined today by doctors, including Mariners team physician Dr. Mitch Storey.

Results from the exam will be available tomorrow, Friday, April 3.

A further update will be released at that time

Mariners right fielder Ichiro Suzuki was placed on the 15-day disabled list this morning after being diagnosed with a bleeding ulcer.
A club official told MLB.com this morning that the bleeding has stopped, but the eight-time All-Star will be placed on the disabled list for the first time in his Major League career.

Un bullpen di tutti destri, con i rookies kelley (massimo in AA) e Jakabauskas (che ha giocato nelle leghe indipendenti)
Alla fine Mike Sweeney è riuscito a entrare nel roster e farà il DH finchè non torna Ichiro. Il sostituto del giappo sarà Tuiasosopo che si è giocato il posto da sostituto fino alla fine con Wilson a suon di valide. Cedeno sarà l'utility mentre Morse torna nelle minors.
Nessuna altra novità.

Domani si inizia con King Felix live @ 2 am! (no cronaca però)

P.S. Domanda per il fantabaseball: è meglio Khail Greene o il nostro Betancourt??

Secondo me Khail Greene garantisce qualche home run in più.

Beh, senza offesa ma "eccellente" lo lascerei per altri tipi di performance. Bedard ha sicuramente dato segni di ripresa (0 BB, 8 K) ma ha pur sempre subito 3 punti in 5 inning, non è neanche una QS. Buona prova sì, eccellente no ;)
