Per dire...preferisco mille volte la flag presa da Clark, a quella presa da Ike dopo il drop suicida di Gaffney e lui che va a prenderlo per culo lanciandogli il pallone: poi da che pulpito!!! Ieri ha mancato un intercetto C-L-A-M-O-R-O-S-O in end-zone e quasi la rimette nelle mani di Moss che era dietro di lui, senza alcuna speranza di ricevere.

Flag giusta, colpo abbastanza sporco, si poteva fare con meno. L'idea di dover intimidire non deve passare dal rompere necessariamente le ossa a un avversario. Nulla di eccessivamente criminale, per carità, però evitabile, quanto meno l'impeto con cui è stato portato il colpo. Flag giusta, se poi avesse colpito con più "grazia" nessuno avrebbe fiatato probabilmente.

Welker non commette nessun errore, stacca la spina perché l'azione è ormai finita e mai penseresti a un colpo così probabilmente. Un errore lo commette quindi: si è dimenticato che dall'altra parte c'erano gli Steelers... smash mouth football.  :D

Clark comunque a fine partita si è scusato con i Patriots (non ha detto proprio per la botta, ma era ovvio fosse per quello).

Segnalo anche questo articolo sulla questione. Esattamente quello che dicevo ieri durante la partita, non doveva staccare i piedi da terra, per il resto non ha fatto niente di male.

Intanto ci terrei a sottolineare come James Harrison e LaMarr Woodley abbiano battuto il record di franchigia per sacks messi insieme in una stagione (con ancora 4 partite da giocare!!!). Al momento i due hanno 25^1/2 sacks, numeri che superano il precedente massimo di 24 messo insieme nella stagione 1994 da Kevin Greene (14) e Greg Lloyd (10) e nel 2000 da Jason Gildon (13^1/2) e Joey Porter (^1/2).

Tra l'altro Harrison è a quota 14 sacks stagionali, solo 1 dietro al record di franchigia di Mike Merriweather, registrato nella stagione 1987 quando furono però giocate solo 12 partite.

Tra l'altro leggevo oggi che Jamie Harrison all'halftime è stato portato negli spogliatoi con un cart, dopo aver ricevuto un colpo alla schiena.
Nessuno se n'è accorto, anche perchè nel terzo quarto ha scherzato Matt Light, finendo per indirizzare il corso di un'altra partita.
Aaron Smith scherzandoci sopra ha dichiarato pressappoco "Pensate cosa avrebbe fatto se fosse stato al 100%"  :lol2: 

Complimenti a Wood e Silverback...per chi non se li ricorda o non ha potuto vederli all'opera, Kevin Greene e il #95 erano veramente due mostri.

Prime notizie sugli infortunati in vista di domenica: Keisel e Smith ancora out (per il secondo rimane sempre viva l'ipotesi di una season-ending surgery). Buone nuove invece da McFadden, secondo Tomlin dovrebbe essere in campo contro i Cowboys.

Intanto il mitico Najeh è stato tagliato per l'ennesima volta (cosa sono, quattro!?), al suo posto nel 53-man roster è stato aggiunto Scott Paxson, defensive tackle. Prodotto di Penn State, è stato nel giro della nostra PS per gli ultimi 3 anni e quest'anno ha fatto il suo esordio nella NFL nella Week 5, a Jacksonville.

• Several things need to happen, but the Steelers (9-3) could clinch a playoff berth Sunday. They would be assured a spot in the playoffs with a win over the Dallas Cowboys and losses by the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots. They also would punch their ticket to the postseason with a win over the Cowboys and losses by the Patriots and New York Jets as well as a tie by the Dolphins. The Steelers are a game ahead of the Baltimore Ravens (8-4) in the AFC North and have the inside track to the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoffs. "We play the Dallas Cowboys this week, and our focus is to beat those guys if we can," Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said. "We have no other way of looking at it really. I don't understanding the 'positioning' mentality; I don't."

It was gruesome, yet Patriots fans and radio talk show hosts who chattered on about how Clark “launched himself” at Welker, leaving his feet and throwing his shoulder illegally, are wrong. They, like Donovan McNabb, do not know the rules.

“A lot of people think it’s a foul to leave your feet,” NFL vice president of officiating Mike Pereira said yesterday from New York. “Launching is not a foul. There is nothing in the rulebook that states that at all. It’s a misconception people have.

“It is a foul to hit with your helmet against a defenseless receiver. It is a foul to throw a forearm into the neck or head area of your opponent. I don’t think either of those things happened. I’m not a fan of those high hits but if you do it with your shoulder you’re OK.”
