Steelers SS Troy Polamalu is undergoing an MRI Friday to determine the exact extent of his knee injury.
The initial diagnosis was a sprained MCL, but further testing could reveal more serious damage. There's been no talk of Polamalu needing surgery.

AP - Jeff Reed kicked a 33-yard field goal with 4:32 gone in overtime and the Steelers beat the Titans 13-10 in the NFL season opener Thursday night, according to an Associated Press report.
The victory might be costly, however, as safety Troy Polamalu sprained the medial collateral ligament in his left knee on a blocked field goal. Coach Mike Tomlin said the injury usually sidelines a player 3 to 6 weeks.
RealGM Note: Despite the loss, the Titans had a +5.7 Trench Counter for the game with the two field goal misses by Rob Bironas being the difference in the score that sent the game to overtime.
