Steelers first-round pick David DeCastro has a torn medial collateral ligament but the team is unsure whether he tore his anterior cruciate ligament. DeCastro is scheduled to undergo an MRI at lunchtime to determine the severity of the injury. If it's just a torn MCL, he would be expected to miss about half of this season. If it's a torn MCL and ACL he likely would miss the full season.

Il fatto comunque che non si sia distrutto l'ACL è una buona notizia.

In settimana operazione al ginocchio per DeCastro, pare che effettivamente non abbia danneggiato l'ACL. Non è ancora chiaro se lo metteranno o meno in IR ma sinceramente non vedo alternative.

If the NFL and NFLPA had reached an agreement regarding a change in the injured reserve rules, DeCastro could have been placed on injured reserve for six weeks, with the ability to return later in the season.

È prassi della società non discutere rinnovi contrattuali durante la stagione - non l'hanno fatto con nessuno, figuriamoci se lo fanno con Wallace - quindi le ipotesi sono due: a) firma il prolungamento del contratto prima della trasferta di Denver; b) gioca la stagione sotto al tender.

Nel caso della b), l'anno prossimo potrebbe essere taggato e questo significherebbe rinnovo perchè solitamente non taggano un giocatore se non hanno tutte le intenzioni di rifirmarlo; oppure potrebbe diventare FA e in quel caso, grazie ed arrivederci.

Sto guardando l'ultima di preseason, Rainey ha portato due punt in meno 10 minuti in TD, entrambi annullati per un fallo. Niente male, vediamo come si comporterà in stagione regolare.

Anche se solo preseason il nostro gioco di corsa funziona bene, Dwyer e Rainey corrono bene, BB un pò meno ma ha avuto solo pochi snap. Forse Mendy può guarire con tutta calma.
