Caro Pelato, io direi di stare attenti che c'è il rischio che al meeting ci facciamo male pure noi.

O da una mazza volante, come capitò a Tommy LaSorda in un ASG di qualche anno fa.  :lol2:

Livan to the infield?

A rash of injuries to his team may be leaving Mets manager Jerry Manuel desperate. Things are so bad that Manuel is considering using veteran pitcher Livan Hernandez at first base or third base on a fill-in basis.

"He's a guy that we feel, if need be, could possibly do that," Manuel said.

Manuel routinely jokes with reporters, but insisted to the New York Post that this time he was serious.

The Post story also hinted that Gary Sheffield's hamstring injury suffered Friday may be more than just a cramp.

Lugo headed to Mets?

Julio Lugo, designated for assignment by the Red Sox last week, is expected to sign with the Mets once he officially becomes a free agent.

The New York Daily News reported that the Mets are reluctant to trade for Lugo, but want to sign him once they are no longer on the hook for his $13.5 million salary.

The Boston Herald reported last week that at least three teams, including the Mets, Cardinals and Cubs, are interested in Lugo's services.

Posto soltanto questi due rumors. Sulla squadra sinceramente c'è poco da dire e quel poco è stato detto qualche pagina fa.

the Mets, for now, are the most expensive fourth-place team in history. Their $136MM payroll leads the NL.

Bravo Omar :forza:

:disgusto:

According to Jon Heyman, of SI.com, Jeff Wilpon has told Omar Minaya and Jerry Manuel they will not be fired as a result of this season.

Massì, Wilpon....Omar è un grande GM!

According to a report on SI.com, Toronto asked for a package of prospects -- outfielder Fernando Martinez, young pitchers Bobby Parnell and Jon Niese and shortstop Ruben Tejada -- from New York in exchange for for Roy Halladay, who has been on the market as he heads into the final year of his deal with the Blue Jays.
