Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vzfhuTC ... re=related

In my eyes
Indisposed
In disguise
As no one knows
Hides the face
Lies the snake
The sun
In my disgrace
Boiling heat
Summer stench
'Neath the black
The sky looks dead
Call my name
Through the cream
And I'll hear you
Scream again

Black hole sun
Won't you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won't you come
Won't you come

Stuttering
Cold and damp
Steal the warm wind
Tired friend
Times are gone
For honest men
And sometimes
Far too long
For snakes
In my shoes
A walking sleep
And my youth
I pray to keep
Heaven send
Hell away
No one sings
Like you
Anymore

Hang my head
Drown my fear
Till you all just
Disappear

Nothing left to say
And all I've left to do
Is run away
From you
And she led me on, down
With secrets I can't keep

Close your eyes and sleep
Don't wait up for me
Hush now don't you speak
To me

Wrapped my hurt in you
And took my shelter in that pain
The opiate of blame
Is your broken heart, your heart

So now I'm all by myself
As I've always felt
I'll betray my tears
To anyone caught in our ruse of fools

One last kiss from me...yeah
One last kiss good night

Didn't want to lose you once again
Didn't want to be your friend
Fulfilled a promise made of tin
And crawled back to you

I'm all by myself
As I've always felt
I'll betray myself
To anyone, lost, anyone but you

So let the sadness come again
On that you can depend on me, yeah
Until the bitter, bitter end of the world, yeah
When god sleeps in bliss

And I'm all by myself
As I've always felt
And I'll betray myself
To anyone

Il Genio, “Pop Porno”

Tu sei cattivo con me
perché ti svegli alle tre
per guardare quei film
un po’ porno

Tu sei cattivo con me
perché mi guardi come se
io fossi un’attrice
porno

Porno Pop Porno Pop Porno
Pop Porno Porno Porno

Tu sei cattivo con me
perché ti piace sognare
quei tipi di donna
un po’ porno

Tu sei cattivo con me
perché mi lasci da sola
e ti guardi quei film
un po’ porno

Porno Pop Porno Pop Porno
Pop Porno Porno Porno

Ma quando viene sera
tu mi parli d’amore
e guardandomi negli occhi
mi fai sentire davvero
una donna un po’ porno

Kinks - Do you remember Walter?

Walter, remember when the world was young
And all the girls knew Walter's name?
Walter, isn't it a shame the way our little world has changed?
Do you remember, Walter, playing cricket in the thunder and the rain?
Do you remember, Walter, smoking cigarettes behind your garden gate?
Yes, Walter was my mate,
But Walter, my old friend, where are you now?

Walter's name.
Walter, isn't it a shame the way our little world has changed?
Do you remember, Walter, how we said we'd fight the world so we'd be free.
We'd save up all our money and we'd buy a boat and sail away to sea.
But it was not to be.
I knew you then but do I know you now?

Walter, you are just an echo of a world I knew so long ago
If you saw me now you wouldn't even know my name.
I bet you're fat and married and you're always home in bed by half-past eight.
And if I talked about the old times you'd get bored and you'll have nothing more to say.
Yes people often change, but memories of people can remain

Elton John : Curtains

from the album "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy" (1975)

Image

Curtains

I used to know this old scarecrow
He was my song, my joy and sorrow
Cast alone between the furrows
Of a field no longer sown by anyone

I held a dandelion
That said the time had come
To leave upon the wind
Not to return
When summer burned the earth again

Cultivate the freshest flower
This garden ever grew
Beneath these branches
I once wrote such childish words for you

But that's okay
There's treasure children always seek to find
And just like us
You must have had
A once upon a time

"Hey Joe, where you goin' with that gun in your hand?
Hey Joe, I said where you goin' with that gun in your hand?
Alright. I'm goin down to shoot my old lady,
you know I caught her messin' 'round with another man.

And I gave her the gun and I shot her!

Alright

(Hey)
Ah! Ah!
(Joe where you gonna go?)
Oh, alright.

Yeah.
(where you gonna go?)
Hey Joe, I said,

(Joe!)
Well, dig it!

(Joe)
I'm goin' way down south,
(Hey, Joe)

Ecco, quando arrivo a questo punto della canzone sbarello. Ma continuo a preferire Hummer, che per me è anche la migliore della loro produzione.  :D

P.S. Ci vediamo a Bologna, sì?

Vinicio Capossela - Non è l'amore che va via

Vai vai
tanto non è l'amore che va via
Vai vai
l'amore resta sveglio
anche se è tardi e piove
ma vai tu vai
rimangono candele e vino e lampi
sulla strada per Destino

Vai vai
conosco queste sere senza te
lo so, lo sai
il silenzio fa il rumore
de tuoi passi andati
ma vai, tu vai
conosco le mie lettere d'amore
e il gusto amaro del mattino

Ma
non è l'amore che va via
il tempo sì
ci ruba e poi ci asciuga il cuor
sorridimi ancor
non ho più niente da aspettar
soltanto il petto da uccello di te...
soltanto un sonno di quiete domani...

Ma vai, tu vai
conosco le mie lettere d'amore
e il gusto amaro del mattino

lo so lo sai
immaginare come un cieco
e poi inciampare
in due parole
a che serve poi parlare
per spiegare e intanto, intanto noi
corriamo sopra un filo, una stagione,
un'inquietudine sottile.

Ma,
non è l'amore che va via
il tempo sì,
ci ruba e poi ci asciuga il cuor
sorridimi ancor
non ho più niente da aspettar
soltanto il petto da uccello di te...
soltanto un sonno di quiete domani...

Built To Spill - Car
You get the car
I'll get the night off
You'll get the chance to take the world apart and figure out how it works
Don't let me know what you find out
I need a car
You need a guide
Who needs a map
If I don't die or worse I'm gonna need a nap
At best I'll be asleep when you get back
I wanna see it when you find out what comets, stars, and moons are all about
I wanna see their faces turn to backs of heads and slowly get smaller
I wanna see it now
I wanna see it now

I want specifics on the general idea
I wanna think what I should know
Want you to do me what to show
I wanna see movies of my dreams
I wanna see movies of my dreams
I wanna see movies of my dreams
I wanna see movies of my dreams
I wanna see it when you get stoned on a cloudy breezy desert afternoon
I wanna see it untame itself and break its owner
I wanna see it now
I wanna see it now

Jethro Tull : My God

from the album "Aqualung" (1971)

Image

My God

Oh people - what have you done -
locked Him in His golden cage.
Made Him bend to your religion -
Him resurrected from the grave.
He is the god of nothing -
if that's all that you can see.
You are the god of everything
He's inside you and me.
So lean upon Him gently
and don't call on Him to save you
from your social graces
and the sins you used waive.
The bloody Church of England -
in chains of history -
requests your earthly presence at
the vicarage for tea.
And the graven image you - know - who -
with His plastic crucifix -
he's got him fixed -
confuses me as to who and where and why -
as to how he gets his kicks.
Confessing to the endless sin -
the endless whining sounds.
You'll be praying till next Thursday to
all the gods that you can count.

Elvis Costello - Almost Blue
1982

Image

Almost blue
Almost doing things we used to do
Theres a girl here and shes almost you
Almost all the things that your eyes once promised
I see in hers too
Now your eyes are red from crying

Almost blue
Flirting with this disaster became me
It named me as the fool who only aimed to be

Almost blue
Its almost touching it will almost do
Theres a part of me thats always true...always
Not all good things come to an end now it is only a chosen few
Ive seen such an unhappy couple

Almost me
Almost you

Almost blue
