La gestione di Meche é stata veramente imbarazzante. Incredibile come si tenda a dire che " Lui stava bene, si sentiva di lanciare e lo abbiamo lasciato dentro". Quanti pitcher avrebbero detto "No, non me la sento di continuare a lanciare, preferisco uscire"? Ma il manager per cosa é li a fare? Gestione tragicomica, hanno mandato in fumo praticamente una stagione e mezza. L'episodio della partita con Minnesota, se avete letto, é assurdo, degno del miglior Dusty.

Invece noi ci avviiciniamo alla trade deadline in condizioni abbastanza disastrose, lo sweep a Seattle ci aveva portato a un discreto 39-46, da lì in poi tre vittorie nelle ultimi quindici.
All'orizzonte una serie con gli O's che si spera (magari no) ci passa dare un pò di (inutile) ossigeno.

Ho visto la partita ed ero veramente contento per Alex, giocatore che purtroppo non é diventata la stella che tutti si attendevano quando é stato draftato alla seconda assoluta nel 2005, insomma il nuovo George Brett. Da dire anche che i Royals non lo hanno certo sempre sostenuto, con demotions verso Omaha, quando giocatori molto peggiori erano a roster.
Ieri praticamente ha lasciato 6 uomini in base e ha battuto un doppio gioco, gia' i commentatori parlavano di giornata terribile fino al walk off.

Mancherebbe solo Guillen ma speriamo nei waivers. Soddisfatto da Dayton si. Anche la trade che ha portato Ankiel e Farnsworth ad Atlanta per Blanco, Chavez e il prospetto Collins va benissimo. Magari Collins non diventera' nulla e gli altri due sono solo riserve, ma l'importante é che passi il concetto che i veterani in questo momento servono a niente e va dato spazio ai giovani. Vediamo quanto gioca Kila.
