sarebbe un peccato per entrambi però...
E poi veder giocare JOnes è sempre uno spettacolo!

Risolveremmo il problema del cb, dei ritorni, e allora sì che potremmo programmare qualche trade a salire per arrivare a DMC. Altrimenti condivido la posizione di Larry, se non arriva prima del draft, solite priorità un cb, ed un rb alla Jones o al limite un wr.

Certo che poi con T.O., Hamlin, Tank Johnson, Pacman.. avremmo in spogliatoio personaggi veramente tosti da gestire..

The first hour of the Michael Irvin Show was spent discussing Pacman Jones' background. They'll go over his many off-field incidents in the next hour.

Pacman recalled telling his counselor that, "It ain't no sin to go to the strip club." Irvin pointed out that it was actually a sin, just not against the law. And it's definitely not a good idea for a guy who is about to meet with Sheriff Goodell about his suspension.

But Pacman found his way to a topless joint in New York the night before meeting with Goodell. What the heck was he thinking?

"It was a bad decision, period, point blank," Pacman said. "It was one of the dumbest decisions that I ever made."

Unfortunately, it really ranks pretty far down Pacman's list of dumb decisions. More on that to come in the next hour.

Pacman Jones has said a whole bunch of things over the last few weeks. Finally, I think the magic words came out of his mouth ...

"I'd be really lucky to get another shot," he said.

That's a big one for him, I believe. It's Pacman saying that his talent alone does not give him the right to play in the league.

Another thing he addressed was his visit to a New York gentlemen's club on his trip to visit commissioner Roger Goodell last year.

"It was a bad decision," Jones said. "It was one of the dumbest decisions I've ever made. ... It's just not going to happen anymore."

As Timmy said, Pacman's playing his cards right here. Finally.

Pacman's saying all the right things

Pacman Jones' childhood is a sad story. His dad was murdered two doors down when he was 8 years old. His mom has fought drug addiction for years. The grandmother who raised him died when he was a freshman in college.

Michael Irvin had Pacman tell that tale.

Pacman has either been coached well on what to say today or finally gets it. He hasn't made any excuses for his horrible behavior and says to point the finger at him for his problems. He talked about having to separate himself from family members and childhood friends who have been his wingmen.

"It's getting to the point where it ain't no time for slip-ups right now," Pacman said. "It's like I'm on the cliff right now. One slip-up and it's off the cliff."

Michael Irvin and his co-host set up Pacman's appearance in the show's first segement, which started with a highlight of a Pacman pick-six.

The highlight of the segment was the explanation of the difference between strip clubs and gentlemen's establishments. (Cheap vs. expensive and quality of entertainers.)

Irvin vows to spend some of the show delving into Pacman's background. He calls it getting to the root of the problem instead of focusing on the fruit of the problem.

I'm gonna go get an orange and come back after the commercial break.

Calvin "Lucky" Watkins has the ESPN 103.3 studios staked out, but he wasn't able to get a word in with Pacman Jones. Manny Arora, Pacman's agent/lawyer/babysitter, wouldn't let any reporters ask his client a question.

The media is counting on Michael Irvin to fire a few fastballs at Pacman.

Io ho inoltre sentito che desidera ardentemente non solo giocare, ma anche vivere a Dallas.. Speriamo che valga anche per lui il discorso fatto per Tank Johnson, ovvero che si renda veramente conto che questa è la sua ultima chance per non buttare via una carriera. Sempre che Goodell si dimostri flessibile.
Ma in sostanza, dipende tutto da Goodell da quanto ho capito. No? Perchè le volontà di giocatore e società sono piuttosto chiare.

Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that a trade that would send suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Pacman Jones to the Dallas Cowboys is imminent.

According to Schefter, the Cowboys and Titans spent Thursday discussing the trade and should be able to work out a deal soon. Although Schefter reports that the teams are still a few rounds apart in discussing compensation — the Titans have asked for a third-round pick and the Cowboys have offered a sixth-round pick — the deal could get done within the next couple of days.

In fact, Jones could be in Dallas this weekend to announce a deal at team headquarters before Cowboys officials leave for the league meetings in Florida.

There’s still the matter of Jones needing to be reinstated. Although suspended players can be traded, merely acquiring the rights to Jones doesn’t do the Cowboys any good unless NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell allows him to play. It is unclear when or whether that will happen.

But it’s increasingly looking like if Jones plays in the NFL again, it will be with a star on his helmet.

Jones says Cowboys won't trade up

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that he is not looking to move into the top five of the draft to pick Arkansas RB Darren McFadden.
"I have no intent at all of moving into the top five," Jones said. "A team can get crippled, and I mean seriously crippled, from a financial standpoint by being up there in the top five or six. It's a real negative. Nobody wants in there, and the teams in there, they want out. This is a very tough draft anyway when it comes to evaluating the talent, and then trying to match up that with the millions it takes to operate at the top of the draft.
"Outside of a highly rated quarterback, there is no other position I'd pay what it takes today to be up there." The Cowboys are the only team with multiple picks in the first round (22nd and 28th overall).

Ma forse ha ragione lui. Io mi sono fatto trascinare dalle emozioni.. non l'avrei visto malissimo nel nostro back field! Poi credevo che il fatto che fosse un figlio del sud lo aiutasse a farsi ben volere dal JJ, come mi era stato a suo tempo detto che poteva essere questo il motivo che lo portava ad essere in cima ai sogni dei Falcons che però avevano, anche prima di Turner, più bisogno di un franchise qb. Per i motivi che ho detto nel topic del draft, Felix Jones mi sembra l'ideale. L'unico dubbioso su questa scelta, tra playit e siti usa è stato aza.
Però, in effetti, svenarsi per prendere un rb in un anno in cui la categoria è molto profonda, non mi sembra una scelta troppo saggia. E magari chissà, ci può essere una Baltimora che potrebbe fare come Cleveland per Quinn, per portarsi a casa Brohm dandoci la sua prossima prima scelta. Alla fine credo che se la giocheranno loro e i Bears per lui, ed uno dei due potrebbe venire a bussare alla nostra porta alla 28, sapendo che potremmo accettare avendo già sistemato il "buco" principale nel backfield. E preferirei Baltimora perchè senza infortuni i Bears torneranno a portare a casa un bel po' di vittorie.
Vabbè, è fantafootball, ma chissà..

Mah, sinceramente neanche io sono troppo convinto su felix jones...tutti l' hanno accostato ai cowboys per essere il lightning da accoppiare al nostro Thunder-Marion (2 palle con ste frasi), ma io tutta questa velocità di base non la vedo. Ok, al college faceva anche il ritornatore, può essere utile in più frangenti, ecc.. ma sinceramente dagli highlights che ho visto (e sono parecchi a questo punto dell'anno) ho visto spesso che, anche in caso di big plays, veniva spesso placcato in rimonta dal difensore "partito" alcuni metri dietro. Ora, è vero che con la palla sei più lento, ma spendere una scelta al primo giro per uno da scegliere solo in base alla sua velocità (e versatilità) quando ce ne sono di migliori sia che se volessimo fare questo (vedi Chris Johnson, giocatore ancor più veloce e ancor più versatile,dato che può anche giocare da slot e anche nel backfield insieme a MBIII) sia, opinione altrettanto rispettabile, volessimo prendere un back per ogni down cautelandoci dato che Marion il prossimo anno è UFA e che titolare non lo è mai stato e quindi quest'anno ha davanti un bel banco di prova, dovesse fare la stagione della vita potremmo provare a tenerlo senza poi suicidarci se ce lo strappassero a suon di milioni, dovesse far male vai col rookie e si utilizza Barber come quest'anno o gli anni passati. Volevo aggiungere che non ritengo Felix Jones uno "solo veloce" , ma che la principale caratteristica che lo farebbe salire alla fine del primo giro è proprio quella...ergo il primo giro secondo me non lo vale assolutamente
