In più, ecco un primo giudizio su Richards dopo il suo primo quarto di stagione a LA.Words such as 'poison' and 'cancer' were used by trolls on the internet, hopefully you have intelligence enough to realize that, it's not fact nor has anyone he's ever played with said that, rather the opposite, he's well liked by all of his exteammates.
The locker room was fine until Pronger arrived, he was the divison (as he's been on every team, and traded 4 times ) The Flyers gave Richards the C and 8 mos later cut him off at the knees when they traded for Pronger. Pronger doesn't let anyone tell him what to do, esp a 24 year old kid. Pronger has to be the only voice, the big dog in the house. MR was in the way. The players to a man were loyal to RIchards , and he was respected by all of them. Most of them are afraid of Pronger, he's not the flexible type. It's his way (and he's got a temper, loud and such) or the highway.
When the Flyers tanked last spring, slipping in the standings, Media, Snider, etc. felt MR was at fault for not correcting the slide by vocalizing more and getting the ship righted. ANd the Media hammered him hard on it, daily in papers, websites and tv sports talk. When the bowed out to Boston in 4, for Snider, that was the last straw. Richards had the C, he had to go. The fact the three headed goaltending issue was the larger problem he was blind to when it came to copability. Richards admitted that playing with that busted up wrist all year was a mistake. That was also part of the problem.
The only thing you have to realize is that hopefully the Kings fans are smart. Don't prejudge Richards or buy into the internet garbage posted about him. You've seen him play for a quarter of a season now, you 've read how much his teammates like him (Per Mayor's Manor article, common denominator in the Kings room is that Richards is a 'great guy') and his work ethic and heart are second to none.
Use that as your measuring stick, what he's done, and that's he's clutch (7 of his goals are game winnter/tyers and 6 of his assists are PP, 5 primary and 4 GW) and he's all about the crest on the sweater, not the name on the back. Totally unselfish and he'll bleed for your team until it hurts.
He's not even in beast mode yet, that will come in Post All Star when the race is on and in the playoffs, if healthy and uninjured , he's a shark in blood infested waters, total predator.
He clearly loves playing here, respects his teammates and along with Kopi, is the core of the leadership going forward.
Enjoy him..treasure him...trust me, you have no idea how painful it is losing him...

Suvvia dai...buon divertimento.

The Answer Palermitano wrote: Intanto benvenuto![]()
