The Memphis Grizzlies are in advanced discussions on a three-team trade with New Orleans and Philadelphia that will bring 76ers center Marreese Speights to the Grizzlies, according to sources with knowledge of the trade.

The deal, on course to be completed later Wednesday, would send Memphis' Xavier Henry to the Hornets and two second-round picks to Philadelphia.

Trade sulla carta sensata per tutte le parti da un punto di vista tecnico, però i Grizz stanno proprio svendendo il buon Xavier scelto in lottery giusto un anno fà.
Penso che gli Hornets intendano provare Henry da 3, non è il suo ruolo naturale, ma comunque potrebbe trovare più spazio che a Memphis.

esatto, è vero che memphis ha bisogna di gente sotto il tabellone, ma henry era un buon prospetto. Dispiace che con l'infortunio dell'altro anno abbia giocato poco. Gli auguro buona fortuna, e speriamo che Speights faccia bene con la casacca degli orsetti

The Memphis Grizzlies acquired forward/center Marreese Speights from the Philadelphia 76ers as part of a three-team trade also including the New Orleans Hornets, Grizzlies General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Wallace announced today.

As part of the deal, Memphis traded guard Xavier Henry to New Orleans and a 2012 second round draft pick to Philadelphia. The Hornets also sent a future second round pick to the 76ers.

Nets Interested In Trading For DeMarcus Cousins



According to a league source, the Nets are looking to trade for DeMarcus Cousins, who earlier this week had a falling-out with Sacramento coach Paul Westphal.

It’s unclear if the Kings are ready to deal Cousins — the No. 4 pick in 2010 out of Kentucky — but the team released a statement Sunday condemning the 21-year-old for his lack of commitment to the club while stating he demanded a trade.

Cousins, who was excused from Sunday’s game in New Orleans and dressed Tuesday night against the Grizzlies, denied that he demanded a trade, and the Kings said they won’t deal him.

Allen Seeking Multi-Year Deal From Celtics



Ray Allen’s talking about playing until he's 40.

"My body feels good," Allen said. "Whenever you're with a great organization, it makes it easier, and it makes it funner, and it gives me a great chance to play until I'm 40. I don't know how many guys in the history of this league have done it."

Allen will be a free agent next summer. When asked if he wants to re-sign with the Celtics, he offered a quick, "Yeah." Does he think he can get another multi-year deal from them at 37?

"Yeah," said Allen, in the second-year of a two-year, $20 million contract. "That's what I want."
