Ma il mio discorso iniziale sui Cavs e' a prescindere venga a NY o meno.. Mi sembra chiaro che senza di lui si rischia di essere la peggior squadra della lega..o quasi..

Non scherziamo, Lebron se vuole vincere DEVE andare ai Bulls, non ci sono discorsi che tengono! A Cleveland non ha vinto nulla e non vincerà mai nulla.
O'Neal lo scambi per Fasenko al massimo, ma in ogni caso il suo contratto scade adesso! Jamison con quel contratto non lo vuole nessuno e con West non ci guadagni di certo un Bosh ma nemmeno un camby!

se va a NY è solo per motivi di marketing.
Non vince un tubo tantomeno con d'antoni che mai ha vinto e mai vincerà.
Ai Nets sarebbe già meglio ma anche lì per 2 anni scordarsi di vincere.
Rimarrà ai Cavs e fa bene a meno che  i lakers non riescano a scambiarlo con bynum e qualche altro scarto.

Dovesse scegliere in base al progetto tecnico, l'unico che forse ti permette di arrivare subito in alto sono i Clippers, per assurdo.

The Cavaliers kicked off their offseason review on Monday and they are expected to complete the process within seven-to-10 days.

Cleveland owner Dan Gilbert said Friday that the franchise would be evaluated "from top to bottom."

General manager Danny Ferry said the team took the weekend off to allow the sting of last Thursday night's elimination to wear off.

The team's most pressing decision will have to do with head coach Mike Brown.

CLEVELAND, OH - May 17, 2010 - The Cleveland Cavaliers have exercised the team option on forward Leon Powe, Cavaliers General Manager Danny Ferry announced today from Cleveland Clinic Courts. Per league and team policy, terms of the contract were not announced.

In returning from a knee-injury that kept him out of action for the first half of the 2009-10 season, Powe returned to the court and played in 20 games (two starts), averaging 4.0 points on .429 shooting and 3.1 rebounds in 11.8 minutes per game. In 209 career games (16 starts), Powe has averaged 6.3 points on .517 shooting and 4.1 rebounds in 14.4 minutes per game.

“Leon has worked hard to rehab and get himself back on the court this past season. Now he has a full summer to continue working, play more basketball and come back to start next season better than ever,” said Cavaliers General Manager Danny Ferry.

The 6-foot-8 forward was selected by the Denver Nuggets with the 49th overall draft pick in the 2006 NBA Draft and traded for by Boston on draft night. He signed with the Cavaliers as a free agent on August 11, 2009. In 2005-06, Powe led the PAC-10 in scoring (20.5 points per game) and rebounding (10.1 rebounds per game) at California, becoming only the sixth player in conference history to accomplish the feat while earning All-PAC-10 honors.

Come preventivabile, esercitata l'opzione su Leon Powe, che l'anno prossimo credo potrebbe avere più minuti.

Comunque nemmeno 1M, per il prossimo anno quindi bene così.

If Brown's out, who's in?

Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown and his assistant coaches are preparing to be dismissed by the team, reports The Plain Dealer. Brown has a clause in his contract which states he'll get only part of his salary for 2010-11 if he's terminated within 10 days of the club's last game, so an official announcement could be coming soon.

This 10-day timing would align with what owner Dan Gilbert said in his press conference Friday: that he'd be evaluating everything over the next seven to 10 days.

Like Brown, all the assistants are signed though next season, and they may have similar clauses, too.

So if Brown's out, who's in?

Here are two names to chew on: Kentucky coach John Calipari and current Bobcats coach Larry Brown.

Yes, yes: Calipari again. But there are reasons to keep his name in the mix. As Brian Windhorst of the Cleveland Plain Dealer tweeted Monday night, William Wesley, Cal's close confidant, was involved in the past two coaching searches.

"Wes has been involved behind the scenes in last two Cavs coaching searches in 2003 and 2005 with backdoor contacts," he writes. "This is what he does. The night the Cavs won the lottery in 2003 he used back channels to let team know Larry Brown was interested. This was '03, not '05 when he did same."

And as Marc Stein reported in the Weekend Dime on May 7, the Cavs had informal talks with Calipari in 2005.

And speaking of Larry Brown, here's Ian Thomsen of Sports Illustrated: "Only five coaches have championship rings and four of them -- Phil Jackson, Gregg Popovich, Doc Rivers and Pat Riley (who is hinting at returning to the bench for Miami) -- won't be coming to Cleveland. But Larry Brown might, so long as compensation can be arranged with Charlotte. People may shudder at this, but Cleveland's best hope of retaining James is to provide him with a coach who can provide hope of an instant championship. No one else has that pedigree."

Brown has been rumored to perhaps want to flee Charlotte for the Sixers or Clippers, so it's possible he comes into focus for the Cavs again -- especially if the team feels that hiring him could keep James in Cleveland.
