intanto conferme su Ryan Mundy:
Mundy showed nice ball skills Wednesday, stepping up underneath a receiver on a crossing pattern and picking off a Ben Roethlisberger pass.
Forse e sottolineo forse abbiamo trovato un giocatore su cui contare in un reparto che dietro due ottimi titolari non vanta questa gran profondità...ha sicuramente un gran fisico (6-1 215) e a quanto pare delle discrete mani...resta da vedere se ha il colpo terminale e in generale come placca (hai detto poco!!!).
Comunque la depth per ora sarebbe: SS Troy Polamalu, Tyrone Carter; FS Ryan Clark, Ryan Mundy, Roy Lewis

William Gay mette su qualche chilo di muscoli:
I spoke with William Gay after practice.
The cornerback looked bigger than he was last season and he admitted he's up to 198 pounds. He came in at 183 pounds as a rookie and he attributed the weight gain to being on a good training program and eating healthy for the first time in his life.
Gay said as long as he doesn't lose a step, he plans on carrying the extra weight - which is all located in his shoulders - during the season.
Il "training program" di cui si parla dovrebbe essere quello di Tom Shaw in Florida, da anni ormai tappa fissa in offseason per diversi Steelers tra cui James Farrior ed Ike Taylor.

La cosa interessante è...and with starters Troy Polamalu and Ryan Clark not taking part in the offseason practices — the former is training in California; the latter is still recovering from shoulder surgery — Mundy has been playing both strong and free safety.

Con Dale Lolley convinto che Townsend possa essere impiegato più da FS che da terzo cornerback e i progressi dell'ex West Virginia, il taglio di Ty Carter (che non è mai stato un fenomeno e di anni ne ha 33) diventa più probabile.

Ieri sera a Cleveland, Gara 5 tra Cavs e Magic. Nell'arena c'erano diversi giocatori di altri sport, tra cui qualcuno degli Yankees che sono in città per giocare contro gli Indians, Brady Quinn e quacun altro. Poi c'era anche LUI.

The scoreboard showed all the athletes in the stands including CC (some boos), Brady Quinn (cheers), Kerry Wood (sort-of cheers), A-Rod (loud boos) and Pavano (cheers, amazingly enough). Ben Roethlisberger was there as well. He got booed the most.
