Mai quanto le botte prese da Robin Ventura contro Nolan Ryan.

Qui almeno Youkilis è andato come un toro ed era fuori equilibrio quando Porcello l'ha buttato a terra come un sacco di patate facendogli fare la figura del fesso. Quello famoso di Ventura... una lezione spettacolare.

NEW YORK (AP)—All-Star shortstop Derek Jeter(notes) left the New York Yankees’ game against the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday with a bruised right foot.

Jeter staggered away from the plate after Ricky Romero’s(notes) pitch struck him on his right foot in the first inning but opted to stay in after a visit from manager Joe Girardi and a trainer. He looked fine going from first to third on Johnny Damon’s(notes) double and scored easily on Jorge Posada’s(notes) grounder.
New York Yankees trainer Gene Mohahan, below, center, examines Derek Jeter's(notes) right foot as TorontoBlue Jays catcher Raul Chavez(notes), and New York Yankees Johnny Damon(notes), watch after Jeter was hit by a Ricky Romero(notes) pitch in the first inning of their baseball game at Yankee Stadium Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009 in New York. But Ramiro Pena(notes) replaced him before Toronto batted in the third and made a terrific diving catch to take a hit away from Edwin Encarnacion(notes) in the fourth.

The Yankees said X-rays on Jeter’s foot were negative.
