a SF non è facile individuare una zona poco "tossica" :rastapimp: :rastapimp:

Rumors su possibili arrivi nei prossimi giorni; l'unico possibile, secondo me, è il FB dei Cardinals dal nome impronunciabile.
Now with the 49ers about $10 million under the cap and with three inviting roster spots open, the team is in a buying mode. Colts defensive tackle Corey Simon could be available. A Pro Bowl player in 2003 with Philadelphia, Simon didn't play last season after his placement on the non-football injury list with a knee problem that lingered from 2005. After filing a grievance, he's now trying to get money out of the Colts. Nevertheless, apples could tumble from the June 1 tree. Fullback/tight end/special teams player Obafemi Ayanbadejo of the Cardinals might get his release. He's from Santa Cruz and could be a backup to starting fullback Moran Norris and could also provide competition to Delanie Walker as the team's backup "F-back," a hybrid fullback/tight end spot filled by Norris and Vernon Davis last year. Others who could be released are Eagles defensive lineman Jerome McDougle, Seahawks safety and former 49er Kelly Herndon (still recovering from a fractured ankle sustained in the season finale) and former Cal and Bengal cornerback Deltha O'Neal, whose commitment to the game may be wavering. Even if these players aren't released today, they could come available in training camp, which also is a possibility with Jets cornerback David Barrett.

Potrebbe arrivare un altro rookie dal supplemental draft
Cornerback Paul Oliver of Georgia is the only player who has officially declared for the NFL supplemental draft, which is scheduled to be held July 12. Personnel chief Scot McCloughan said he'd only comment on players who are officially in the draft.
"He intriguing," McCloughan said.
When asked about a game in which Oliver held Calvin Johnson to just two catches for 13 yards, McCloughan said, "(Oliver) wasn't bad."
McCloughan said either he or his brother (director of college scouting David McCloughan) will be on hand at Oliver's workout on June 20. Oliver is declaring for the supplemental draft because he reportedly was academically ineligible.

Vicina la firma di Sam Rayburn, DT ex Philadelphia Eagles.
Intanto brutte notizie su Dick Nolan, papà di Mike e HC dei niners tra gli anni Sessanta e Settanta. (
link). :(

Notizie sugli infortunati dagli OTA
Tackle Kwame Harris did not work after suffering back spasms during Monday’s session. Wide receiver Ashley Lelie, who experienced some tightness in his quad during Monday’s work also sat out.
In addition, the 49ers training staff held out wide receiver Arnaz Battle as a precautionary measure due to some tightness in his hamstring.
Defensive end Melvin Oliver left practice early after suffering a knee sprain.
Wide receiver Darrell Jackson, T Jonas Jennings and G Justin Smiley also missed practice.
------------------------------------
Buone le prestazioni di Joe Staley
With just two days down, McCloughan has particularly enjoyed watching right tackle Joe Staley.
“You can see him getting better at that new position,” said McCloughan. “It’s not like you are going from being right handed to all of the sudden doing everything with your left, but the technique is new and different when you switch sides like he’s doing right now. It is an adjustment period and these 12 practices can really benefit a kid like him.”
----------------------------
Rayburn potrebbe arrivare a breve
McCloughan confirmed that the 49ers brought in DT Sam Rayburn last week for a visit and physical and that there is interest in bringing the former Eagle on board.

Dal blog di Maiocco:
Defensive lineman Sam Rayburn has agreed to a one-year deal with the 49ers, his agent said today. Rayburn is scheduled to sign the contract Sunday, when he reports to the 49ers. He plans to take part in OTAs on Monday, said agent Jason Brown.
Rayburn agreed to a one-year contract for the minimum salary of $595,000 and a "modest" signing bonus. He has play-time and sack incentives, Brown said. The 49ers declined comment. The club has a policy that it does not comment until the player has officially signed the deal.
Rayburn, a four-year pro, was released by the Eagles on May 11. He visited three teams: the 49ers, Bills and Giants. In addition, the Titans called to set up a visit. Thirty minutes after Rayburn reached the agreement with the 49ers, the Patriots called. "He's not turning back," Brown said.
Rayburn will get a chance to play left defensive end behind Bryant Young, Brown said. He could also see some action at nose tackle.
"He felt comfortable with coach (Mike) Nolan and the coaching staff, coach (Jim) Tomsula, and everyone he met," Brown said.
