Tornando alle cose serie, su Behind the Steel Curtain c'è un bel post su quel che s'è visto di buono nella scorsa stramba stagione.

In particolare c'è un trafiletto sul Pola che dice più o meno "l'anno scorso non l'abbiamo visto per niente, ma in un paio di quarti contro i Titans ha fatto vedere cose che voi umani...".

Ecco, anch'io non ho la possibilità di rivedere quella partita così su due piedi, ma queste parole mi hanno fatto rivivere la sensazione che provai guardandola, che cioè con Troy Aimua Polamalu in campo i Pittsburgh Steelers non devono temere nessuno...anzi, sono gli altri che devono stare costantemente in campana.

ricordo ancora il tackle behind the line of scrimmage. Il giocatore piallato era solo mr. Chris 2,006 yard Johnson. Ricordo bene anche l'intercetto ad una mano cadendo all'indietro?

già, quella volta che ce n'erano 3 in campo....
Se è in campo e fisicamente c'è, non dico così, basta il 70% di così, è la SS più dominante della lega.
Purtroppo le volte che scende in campo mezzo rotto, e le volta che passa in panca sono molte di più, negli ultimi anni, di quelle in cui è sano.
Molto dipende dal fatto che "usa il corpo come se non fosse il suo", ma sicuramente è anche molto injury prone.
Cmq non lo cambierei con nessuno, ha un mix di capacità tecniche, personalità e look che è impareggiabile

"We do see more of an emphasis on it, I think having a new offensive line coach come in and Sean Kugler has been great in revamping what we do in our run game. And I think B.A. [Bruce Arians] has a big kind of void in his life, I think he wants the run game to get off because that will help us that much more as an offense to be more efficient and to give our quarterbacks even greater passing efficiency. He realizes that importance and we're taking an emphasis on that out here and just trying some different things, rehashing some old things. We have a couple of different plays we brought back from my first couple years here, and we've seen some of them do really well so far in these OTAs. So I think you'll be surprised to see a little bit of something new mixed with a little bit of something old."
