Se tutto procede per il meglio Andy dovrebbe rientrare con gli O's il 17 o 19 settembre.
Intanto perdiamo la prima con Baltimore,nonostante un AJ discreto.E Boston bastona Tampa.Le calzette non sono ancora fuori dai giochi,anche perche' i Rays sono in calo.Sara' lotta fino alla fine.Cominciamo a vincerne il piu' possibile poi si vedra'.....

Purtroppo non ci riesce e perdiamo la seconda con Baltimore!Onore comunque agli O's,fuori da tutto ma non per questo remissivi.
certo che se vogliamo andare ai PO,certe partite,soprattutto allo Stadium,non si possono perdere!

Per la WC il riferimento adesso sono i Sox di colore bianco.
Il vantaggio è più che buono (8.5 partite con 23 da giocare). Baseball Prospectus (PECOTA adjusted) ci dà al 99.58% di possibilità di arrivare ai playoff, di cui il 74% vincendo la division. Il calendario comunque non è facile e per evitare patemi finali (e sovrautilizzo di pitcher con conseguenze sulle serie di playoff) bisognerebbe sfruttare queste occasioni.
Per la cronaca ne mancano 7 con Tampa, 6 con Boston, 4 (compresa quella di stasera) con Baltimore, 3 con Texas e Toronto.

Facendo due conti della serva per la WC dovrebbero bastare 10/12 W,
mentre se vogliamo vincere la division,dobbiamo pensare di vincerne almeno 4 con Tampa e 2 con Boston.
Tutto fattibilissimo,ma certe occasioni (Baltimore in casa) andrebbero sfruttate......

Phil Hughes salterà la sua prossima partenza per via del numero di IP, quindi avremo Moseley domenica ad Arlington con Hughes che tornerà sul monte mercoledì prossimo, contro i Rays.
Ennesimo day game stasera - Nova vs Bergesen - sarebbe bello evitare uno sweep casalingo dagli Orioles.

Solida prestazione sul monte di Nova. Robertson, Logan e Chamberlain
perfetti, Arod e Swisher la chiudono ed evitano uno sweep imbarazzante.
Adesso il match-up con Texas ci porta veramente sfavoriti.

Robertson,Chamberlain,Logan,Wood tutti in crescita in questo fine stagione...
Rivera è Rivera e a loro si aggiungeranno Vazquez/Hughes e Nova...
se il bullpen non si raffredda in vista dei PO sono davvero fiducioso...

Ripeto quanto detto nel live, ma solamente un lefty siamo sicuri possa bastare? Logan per adesso è spettacolare, ma se non dovesse continuare così non abbiamo nessun altro mancino da poter usare con il Carlos Pena o Ryan Howard di turno.

4:07pm: Via Bryan Hoch, Jorge Posada was unavailable today due to concussion-like symptoms following a foul tip in last night’s game. He visited a neurologist today, and presumably everything checked out okay. Or at least I hope it did. Concussions are no joke.
This explains why Frankie Cervelli was allowed to bat for himself with runners on the corners and two outs in the seventh inning with the Yanks down by one this afternoon. He predictably made an out on the first pitch of his at-bat, killing what seemed like the only rally of the game.
4:38pm: It’s unclear if Posada will be able to fly with the team to Texas, which is not good. Like I said, concussions are nothing to mess around with, so the Yanks absolutely have to play it safe with one of their most important players in this situation.

Update (5:44pm): Ready for this? Jesus Montero is not in the lineup for Triple-A Scranton tonight even though it’s a playoff game. It

Volenti o nolenti sarà così, anche perchè Marte per quest'anno è andato.
In AAA non penso ci siano opzioni LOOGY ultra affidabili.

Update (5:56pm): Thankfully the tests came back negative, and Posada is cleared for competitive play. He’s currently listed as day-to-day, and I would assume he’s making the trip to Texas.

In AAA come LOOGY c'è solo Royce Ring, ma non è nemmeno sul 40-men. (No, Igawa manco lo considero

Swisherone ci toglie dai guai,ma non si puo' rischiare così tanto contro gli O's!
Adesso 6 trasferte tra Texas e Tampa,bisogna portarne a casa almeno 2.Non vorrei arrivare ad Ottobre con 3 partite contro Boston,con un vantaggio risicatissimo.
Maledetta AL East,in un altra division saremmo gia' ai Po e potremmo far riposare CC & Co.
