Another week, another change at quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons. Coach Bobby Petrino announced Thursday that Chris Redman, who was out of the league the last three seasons, will start against the New Orleans Saints after a strong performance in relief of Joey Harrington. With Byron Leftwich still hurting and Harrington clearly not the answer, the Falcons (3-9) had little choice except to go with a quarterback who was selling insurance a year ago in their Monday night game against the Saints. "It's been different. There's no doubt about that," Petrino said. "We haven't had the continuity that you normally have."

Splendida notizia:  :applauso:

Kevin Everett is walking on his own at a Houston rehab center, the latest significant progress by the Buffalo Bills tight end in his remarkable recovery from a serious spinal cord injury.

"He doesn't have a full natural stride but, yeah, he's walking," a person close to the family told The Associated Press on Friday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of Everett's status.

The person said Everett has been walking under his own power since his release from Memorial Hermann/TIRR three weeks ago and is now an outpatient there. The person added Everett is picked up at his Houston-area home by car to attend daily rehab sessions and is able to walk to and from the facility.

"He's not driving or anything like that, but he is walking. He's not running. He is walking," the person said.

Fulmine a ciel sereno: Sources: Petrino leaving NFL for Arkansas job

Look for 49ers assistant head coach Mike Singletary's name to surface at the top of the list as the Falcons look for a coach to replace Bobby Petrino, who bolted for Arkansas. Singletary last year said he thought he had a "great chance" to coach the Falcons, but the organization wanted to go with an offensive coach because of Michael Vick's presence. Obviously, that dynamic has changed this time.
Sono pronto a scommetterci. Purtroppo. :paper:
