Tra l'altro oggi leggevo che dopo che Havlat ha fatto richiesta per l'arbitration, Muckler avrebbe basato la sua difesa proprio sul fatto che erano 2 anni che non giocava, per cui avrebbe molto probabilmente perso il ricorso.

Contract negotiations are in the works, and reports are saying that the deal is worth approximately $3.6 million over 2 years. Capitals' superstar Alexander Ovechkin has reportedly said that it would be an honour to play alongside the best Russian to ever hit the ice. Pavel Bure last laced up the skates in the 2002-2003 NHL campaign where he compiled 19 goals and 30 points in 39 games. More to follow.

There are several confirmed reports that a number of NHL clubs have shown interest in the Russian Rocket.

EDIT: Bid for backstop stopped

The Red Wings, according to one well-connected source, were on the verge of handing Roberto Luongo a Group 2 offer sheet worth $8.2 million a year prior to the Panthers flipping him to Vancouver on the eve of the draft. Luongo promptly signed a four-year, $27 million deal in Vancouver. Had the Wings been successful with the offer sheet, the compensation would have been four first-round draft picks.

In ogni caso non so se era già stato detto, Weight torna ai Blues dopo essere scappato a metà stagione per andare a vincere il titolo con gli Hurracanes (mai piaciute questo tipo di manovre) e i Blues stessi acquistano il veterano ma eterno back up (salva la scorsa stagione) Legace.

Gia.. a presto sapremo chi giochera' al posto di Lindros quando si prende un'altra botta con conseguente commozione cerebrale e mezza stagione a guardare! :P

Mike Peca firma con Toronto ed entra a far parte del grande club My Wife's NHL. Non che abbia torto scappando anche lui da quella cozzaglia di mucche e fattorie che e' Edmonton..

Lindros storia della NHL? Heh, dubito che ci sia mai stato un giocatore che in 14 anni e' riuscito a finire una singola stagione(tra l'altro giocando 81 partite nemmeno tutte e 82..) per cui possiamo dire che nel suo piccolo un record cel'ha pure lui biggrin.gif Cmq sto scrivendo un articolo di cui si parla anche di Lindros, per cui non dico altro!

Terremoto a Long Island. Dopo essere stato assunto un mese fa, Neil Smith ha gia' perso il lavoro da General Manager. Verra' rimpiazzato da Garth Snow (ecco chi era il backup di DiPietro!) portiere che ha speso le ultime stagioni nella stessa squadra che ora dovra' dirigere.

Per chi non lo sapesse Ted Nolan(ora allenatore degli Islanders) e' stato tagliato fuori dalla NHL da ormai 7-8 anni (se non di piu', ora non ricordo) perche' quando era a Buffalo ha aggirato il proprio GM chiedendo al presidente di cacciarlo. E' stato praticamente ostracizzato, forse per colpa sua, proprio per questo motivo dato che nessun GM con un pizzico di cervello voleva prendersi un allenatore (pure se bravo) che facesse cose simili e potesse costargli il lavoro.
Conoscendi tutto questo la vicenda fa parecchio ridere, specie perche' non ci sono ancora spiegazioni sull'accaduto.
Cmq sta franchigia negli ultimi anni e' stata gestita peggio dei Grizzlies quando entrarono nella NBA.

Lindros l'anno scorso ha giocato solo 33 partite per problemi al polso, chissà cosa si inventerà quest'anno :hehe:

Intanto i Panthers hanno firmato per un anno ad una cifra quasi irrisoria un back up goalie, Craig Anderson, che l'anno scorso faceva il secondo ai Blackhawks. Ho come l'impressione che tra i pali le cose andranno un po diversamente quest'anno...

Da segnalare anche che i Coyotes hanno firmato l'MVP della AHL Don MacLean, che l'anno scorso chiuse la stagione con 56 gol, 32 assist e 5 triplette.
