Bears GM Jerry Angelo responded to Cedric Benson's arrest quickly Saturday.
"Disappointment is too much an often used word when we’re talking about Cedric. The No. 1 lesson for every player is protect your job. We’re all held accountable for our actions. I’m not going to say any more than that until we know for sure what the facts are," Angelo said. He made no promises about keeping Benson. We'd bet on Benson getting cut, although it won't be an easy decision for Chicago since it doesn't help their cap situation.

Se veramente decidessero di tagliarlo aumenterebbero i rimpianti per essere passati su Mendenhall, ma chi se l'aspettava questi problemi per Benson?
Andasse via lui servirebbe indubbiamente qualcuno, magari un veterano come Alexander (anche se benzina nel serbatoio n'è rimasta poca, però si potrebbe tentare un'operazione in stile J.Lewis ai Browns, con tutte le differenze del caso) o come K.Jones (se veramente le sue ginocchia sono a posto)?

Non credo lo taglieranno, troppo rischioso, ma il problema è vedere anche come si comporterà Goodell adesso...

Ho letto che anche dal punto di vista del cap converrebbe davvero poco.

Beh, non lo paragonavano all'ex capellone mica solo per il football giocato 

Dicono che Kevin Jones stia dando ottime impressioni nei workouts fatti con le squadre che l'hanno visionato.

Dopo le ultime vicissitudini, Benson è stato tagliato.

L'OC dei Bears, noto ai più come GodRon, non è così preoccupato.

"I love Matt Forte," Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner said Sunday during a break at the Bears Expo. "He will definitely be an every-down back. He's got the size, he's got the hands. He's smooth as an athlete, very smooth."

Turner commended Benson's off-season efforts as well, but he gushed over Forte. "How many touches do I see him getting? A lot," he said. "I can't answer that as far as a number, but a lot. I'm excited about him. I love Matt Forte."

Beh, il RB da lanciare ce l'hanno, Forte è un bel prospettino, magari serve solo un veterano da mettergli a fianco...
