mi sembra chiaro, lampante che i nostri (BB e SP) abbiano reputato questa draft 'scarsino' e che reputino il draft 2008 con piu' talento disponibile.

la trade con OAK lo conferma senza dubbio.

stà di fatto che arriva per ora solo 1 giocatore, ottimo pick a mio avviso, che spero/penso possa essere il futuro Rodney Harrison per un decennio.

e per il prox anno ben 5 pick al primo giorno

non sono certo che quello che avremo da SF sia nei primi 15 pero'...i 49ers mi sembrano decisamente piu' forti.

ora mi piacerebbe vedere, come dice GoPats, due solidi pick al quarto giro (DeOssie o Siler piacerebbero pure a me)

Beh la trade con Oakland la reputa abbastanza buona, alla fine siamo scesi di una quindicina di pick se non sbaglio, ma abbiamo guadagnato un settimo giro, e un terzo giro del prossimo anno. Come avete detto forse hanno davvero pensato che in questo drafty c'era poca gente meritevole, ora staremo a vedere cosa faremo con gli altri nove pick :D

beh..la trade con OAK ci ha dato come extra solo il pick del 7 giro...di un giocatore che salvo colpi di scena non fara' nemmeno il team...e praticamente '' l'investimento '' è tutto sul draft 2008

arriva a Foxboro Randy Moss - il compenso ai Raiders è quasi minimo (una quarta scelta che tra l'altro era il pick datoci da SF nella trade con loro) e sembra che solo a NE intendesse rinegoziare il suo contratto

sinceramente questa non me l'aspettavo

speriamo che arrivi con la stessa voglia di vincere che avevano altri veterani come Harrison e Dillon

se cosi' fosse...

certo è che ora Brady ha un arsenale micidiale a disposizione

da brivido...

certo è che una off-season del genere non ti lascia un attimo in pace... :lol2:

quello che è incredibile è che con tutto quanto stà accadendo abbiamo persino 5 scelte al primo giorno del prossimo draft...

alla fine Moss è 'costato' il pick datoci da SF che a sua volta per il pick 28 ci ha dato comunque la loro prima scelta del prossimo anno...

Belichick e Pioli spero non si separino mai e che non vadano mai in 'pensione'... :lol2:

mi sà che NE ha veramente fatto il colpaccio...sembra che il contratto con i Pats per Randy Moss sia di 1 anno a soli 3 milioni quando quest'anno avrebbe dovuto prenderne piu' del triplo e quasi il quadruplo l'anno dopo...

mi sà che aveva una voglia pazza di venire a Foxboro e l'ha dimostrato ristrutturando pesantemente il suo contratto

i Pats praticamente hanno avuto, nella trade con SF per il pick 28, Randy Moss e la 1a scelta del draft 2008

Brandon Meriweather (5'11" - 192) FS:
Meriweather is another in a long line of standout defensive backs to wear a Miami Hurricanes uniform in recent years. Despite his compact frame, he is a physical hitter with good range and steady wrap-up tackle technique. A full-time starter his last two seasons, he would go on to register 182 solo tackles, breaking the school career record for safeties that was set by College Hall of Fame selection Bennie Blades (155, 1984-87).
With his exceptional playing speed, Meriweather was a godsend in the defensive backfield. His versatility saw him play free safety and nickel back as a redshirt freshman, free safety and strong safety as a sophomore, strong safety as a junior and strong safety, left cornerback and right cornerback during his senior year.

Kareem Brown (6'4" -290) DT:
The team's 2006 Defensive Player of the Year came into his own as a senior, his first season as a full-time starter. Part of the defensive tackle rotation during his first three years at Miami, Brown proved more than capable of chasing down opposing ball carriers and quarterbacks during his final season, registering 11 sacks to go along with 16 pressures. Three of those pressures resulted in interceptions. Brown's 11 ½ sacks in 2006 are the second most by a Hurricane defensive tackle in a season. His total of 20 ½ sacks for his collegiate career also rank second among Miami defensive tackles on the school's all-time record charts.

Clint Oldenburg (6'5" - 296) OT:
The Patriots do a job of identifying players who are athletic with big bodies whom they can develop; Oldenburg is a lot like Ryan O'Callaghan. He’s a big man with 5.22 speed who will be a right tackle, but not a left tackle.

Justin Rogers (6'3" - 252) OLB:
This is the kind player of player New England likes. At SMU’s Pro Day, which was held the day after the Combine ended, he worked out very good in the drills they put him through when he had to play in space. This is probably the first SMU player who has been drafted in years; it goes to show you that the program is on an upswing. He has 4.79 speed.

Mike Richardson (5' 11" - 189) CB:
He’s a versatile guy; he can play cornerback, and if he puts on weight, he can play safety. He has quickness (4.48) and he knows how to play the game.

Justise Hairston (6'2" - 220) RB:
This is a running back who started his college career at Rutgers, and in fact started ahead of Brian Leonard in his freshman season. He had over 1,800 yards last season. He has speed (4.52) and production -- it's nice to see a player like this available this late.

Corey Hilliard (6'5" - 318) OT:
The four-year starter has been the anchor of the Cowboys offensive line, providing not only leadership, but also versatility. He began his OSU career as a right offensive tackle, shifting to the left side the following year. He returned to right tackle duties as a junior and manned that position for the first five games of his final season.Injuries on the line then forced Hilliard to return to left tackle for the final seven games of his career. The team captain would go on to appear in 42 games for the Cowboys, starting his final 35 contests.Hilliard had a stellar senior season at Jesuit High School. The Associated Press named him first-team all-state, and he was also first-team all-metro selection by the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Oscar Lua (6'0" - 238) ILB:
He's a middle linebacker (6-5, 240) who ran a 4.85. He's very strong inside and very good pass-rushing skills.

Mike Elgin (6'3" - 282) OG:

Come vedete molti uomini di linea offensiva da costruire, un buon runningback, che potrebbe essere uno steal, due linebacker che probabilmente saranno tagliati, e poi Merriweather, ma soprattutto la prima del prossimo anno e Moss

Salve a tutti. mi sono iscritto da poco al forum (a proposito, complimenti davvero ) e sono appassionato di basket. Grazie al sito però mi sono interessato anche al football e anche se non ho praticamente esperienza visto che lo seguo da 1 anno, non so perchè mi sono "innamorato" dei NE patriots. ho letto dai vostri post che quest'anno siamo davvero ben messi per il titolo, speriamo bene allora! io nel frattempo cerco di acculturalmi un altro pò in questo sport così riuscirò a seguirlo meglio. nel frattempo Go Pats! :D
