This 43-year-old marine, pastor, and father of 3 knows the odds are stacked against him, but that isn't stopping his dream. Jim is training to play at least one down in the NFL, though he never played in high school or college. His dream is a two-day tryout or a place on the Practice Squad to either prove or disprove his ability based on skills and not age. He is a member of the Army National Guard and with half his unit serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, he says it would be an inspiration for them as well. This 212-pound player can bench press 500 pounds and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds at a CFL tryout last year. Everyone asks what keeps driving him, and he says "HEART... I will not give up until this dream comes true."

Buone notizie anche per Derek Smith, operato ad un muscolo dell'occhio. Copntrariamente a quanto annunciato subito dopo l'operazione, potrebbe essere capace di partecipare ad esercizi con contatto gia' dal prossimo mese.
