Whether Santonio Holmes threw that glass or not, his timing in this whole thing was awful. If the cops in Orlando, Fla., do charge him -- and reading the stories, they were going to do so that night/morning until the woman changed her mind -- his playing days with the Steelers could be in jeopardy.

According Ken Laird, of 1250 ESPN in Pittsburgh, Santonio Holmes doesn't believe the Steelers will pay him market value when his contract is up after the 2010 season.
The Steelers would have the option to franchise Holmes if he has a breakthrough season, but the organization is said to be "furious" over the receiver's troubling twitter rants of late. The timing is far from ideal with Hines Ward reaching his decline phase, but there's precedent with the team letting knucklehead Plaxico Burress walk in 2005. The Steelers also have promising Mike Wallace ready to for a larger role.

Te l'ho detto, il discorso è che per me si sono rotti di un atteggiamento generale del ragazzo, un po' troppo under-brained per i loro gusti. Per quanto penso che il caso specifico non sia così grave, visti i soggetti in causa

Intanto il sempre-gentile-con-noi Mike Florio parla di una sospensione di quattro partite in arrivo per 'tonio causa violazione della drug policy della Nfl - cioè o l'hanno beccato ad un controllo o ha saltato un controllo. Certo il fatto che Florio non ci ami non vuol dire che spari cazzate ogni volta...stiamo a vedere; se è vero direi che i giorni dell'ex Buckeye in quel di PIT volgono al termine.

E poi il tizio che Lunedì deve fare una certa conferenza stampa, a proposito del report di ESPN che diceva che Beniamino non sarebbe stato accusato di alcunchè, se n'è uscito con un moggiano "non confermo e non smentisco" e con un preoccupante "non capisco da dove prendano queste informazioni".
