"Man, I'm living a dream. Every day I come to work it's an awesome thing. I walk past five Lombardis to my right every morning when I walk to my office. It's fun, it's awesome, it's challenging, it's tough, it's all those things, but it's what you dream about doing.
I love it."

Anyone catch his interview on ESPN today? ESPN2 I think. I missed the beginning of it. The bulk of the interview was Ed analzing Stewart while Stewart videopclips were playing. Ed talked about how Stewart is a prototype Steeler RB and how the Steelers haven't invested a high draft pick on rb in decades. He concluded by saying that if Albert is gone and Stewart is there at #23 they take him.

Se Scott Wright non si sbaglia possiamo salutare Branden...There is no question that Jake Long is the cream of the crop when it comes to offensive linemen in this draft but Branden Albert has seen his stock soar recently and he is making a serious run at the Top 10 overall. An All-American guard in college, Albert came out after his junior season and while he was still somewhat of an unknown to most casual observers just a few months ago he is now one of the hottest prospects in this draft. The catalyst behind his meteoric rise has been his ability to potentially kick outside to left tackle, which he did for a couple of games in '07 when Eugene Monroe was hurt, and lately more and more teams are becoming convinced that he will be able to handle that transition full-time at the next level. Albert is now firmly in the Top 15 overall and he could very well wind up being the second offensive lineman off the board on Draft Day.

Steely McBeam actor arrested for DUI
By Jodi Weigand
TRIBUNE-REVIEW
Wednesday, April 9, 2008
Steely McBeam's reputation is now a bit tarnished. One of the men hired by the Steelers to play the mascot has been fired.
Kenneth Hahey, 24, of Mt. Washington was charged with drunken driving after he was stopped in the South Side in January, according to Pittsburgh municipal court records. His blood alcohol level was .166, according to a police affidavit.
Steelers spokesman David Lockett said Hahey has been "released from his duties."
Lockett said Steely McBeam will still be a part of the Steelers.
"We haven't had any discussion at all about changing that," he said. "He's still going to be out there in the community uninterrupted."
According to the criminal complaint, Hahey ran a red light while turning from Carson Street onto 10th Street about 1:45 a.m. Jan. 6. When an officer stopped Hahey, the officer detected a strong smell of alcohol and Hahey's speech was slurred and his eyes were glassy and bloodshot, the affidavit stated. Hahey failed roadside DUI tests. He was given three chances to pass the walk-and-turn test after he first complained that he was nervous and then said he wasn't on level ground.
Hahey was taken to the Allegheny County Jail because officers couldn't verify his address in order to proceed with a summons.
Hahey waived the charges to court Feb. 21, according to court records. He will be formally arraigned May 23.

Steeler Najeh Davenport Found Not Guilty
CLEVELAND, Oh. -- A Cleveland jury reached a verdict in the trial of Pittsburgh Steelers' running back Najeh Davenport Wednesday night.
Davenport was found not guilty on all counts, including domestic violence, child endangerment, and unlawful restraint.
Davenport took the stand to testify Wednesday and denied the charges brought against him.
Earlier this week, Anita Person, the mother of Davenport's child, testified that Davenport slapped and choked her and punched her stomach.
Police said Davenport and Person got into a scuffle last October when he went to Cleveland to pick up the 5-year-old.
If convicted, Davenport could've faced up to 14 months in jail.
