Dovrebbe aver avuto una rissa con una guardia del corpo in un hotel, il dallas morning news ha già le idee chiare:
the Cowboys will get Tennessee's fifth-round pick if Pacman misses any action because of off-field issues after reinstatement, which is pretty much a certainty at this point.

Strano vedere come da una settimana all'altra i giudizi cambiano...
La scorsa settimana si faceva un plauso a Jerry Jones e a tutto il Mondo che gira attorno ai Cowboys che erano stati bravi a cambiare TO, finalmente uomo squadra, che avevano reso un angioletto Pacman , e che avevano fatto lo stesso con Tank Johnson.
Ora, una settimana dopo, Owens sembra esser tornato ad essere un problema, con il rapporto con Romo che non sembra essere più rose e fiore. Pacman va in giro a picchiare bodyguard fuori dagli alberghi.
Da un momento all'altro mi aspetto che Tank ne combini una delle sue.
Questa è la NFL...questi sono i giocatori della NFL. Uomini maturi, già fatti e finiti. Sono alberi cresciuti ormai storti, è impossibile riaddrizzarli tutto di botto.

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones was reportedly involved in an incident with his body guard at Joule Hotel, a Dallas downtown hotel, while attending a Tuesday night party for rapper Ludacris.

Police were called to the scene, but no incident report was filed, according to the Dallas Police Department, and consequently no charges were filed, either, since no individual or management at the hotel wanted to press charges.

A source close to Jones says the incident is being overblown, and that if there was a serious confrontation involving Jones causing police to be called to the scene surely an incident report would have been filed by the police department.

The Dallas Police Department said it needs a complainant to file an offense if an offense had occurred, but evidently after interviewing those involved in the incident there were no charges filed that would have led to an offense report. Evidently this is not the first time Jones has had differences with his body guard, who is charged with making sure Jones doesn’t go places he shouldn’t and keeping him out of confrontations with other people.

The NFL has had no comment on the report, but Jones’ timing was bad since NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was in town on Wednesday and even spoke to the entire Cowboys team following their afternoon practice.

Goodell did answer a question about Jones before news of the Tuesday night incident was reported, saying, “Adam knows how much emphasis I put on making good choices as he goes forward, that he avoids situations where he can reflect poorly on himself or the Cowboys or the NFL.”

Jones was fully reinstated by Goodell just before the start of the 2008 season after being suspended for violation of the league’s newly-instated personal conduct policy in April of 2007. Since being drafted in the first round by the Tennessee Titans in 2005, this is the 13th time Jones has attracted police attention.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones took a chance this off-season by trading for the troubled cornerback, giving Tennessee a fourth-round pick and will owe the Titans a sixth-rounder if Jones completes this entire season without being suspended by the NFL. If he does become suspended, the Titans will owe the Cowboys a fifth-round pick back in return.

This incident comes at a bad time since the Cowboys could be without Pro Bowl corner Terence Newman for an extended period of time. Doctors are trying to determine if the strained lower abdominal wall that shelved him for this past game is a sports hernia and in need of surgery. If surgery is necessary, Newman could be out for more than a month.

And it is Pacman Jones who has been and will be starting for the injured Newman.

aggiungo quella che dovrebbe essere la ricostruzione del fatto, Dallas police report:

On Tuesday October 7th approximately 11:00 p.m., there was a disturbance call made by an employee at the Jewel Hotel at 1530 Main Street. The call stated that there was a disturbance between two black males and a black female arguing and fighting at the location and that the suspects were in the lobby.

Two police elements arrived at the call and it was determined that the disturbance was over and that some hotel employees over heard a scuffle in the men's lobby restroom. According to the reporting officer, there were no witnesses that came forward, at that time, stating that an assault had occurred. The hotel management did point out that a glass light switch plate had been broken but stated everything was OK.

Both of the men, one being identified as Adam Jones and the other as his private bodyguard, stated everything was "OK". Both parties were driven from the location by an acquaintance. The information on the alleged assault by Mr. Jones was obtained after the incident had ended and the alleged victim, (bodyguard), did not want to pursue any action stating that this issue was a private matter.

In pratica, pacman ha litigato con la sua guardia del corpo, che ha il compito di tenerlo lontano dai guai, c' è scappato una plafoniera (almeno penso sia questa la traduzione di glass light switch plate) rotta, non c' è stata nessuna denuncia, non c' è stato nessun ferito, beh...se le cose stanno così come sono descritte, se lo squalificano siamo a livelli veramente ridicoli, però vabbè....si aspetta che la NFL in nome di Roger "the sheriff" Goddell si esprima in merito.

Se le cose stanno così, allora non ci sono motivi per squalificarlo. Quello che mi fa ridere è che un fiol adulto e vaccinato abbia bisogno di uno che gli cammini dietro per tenerlo fuori dai guai.. Vabbè, l'importante è che sia arruolabile per domenica, che si alleni tranquillamente in settimana e che sia sereno quando scenderà in campo, perchè avremo bisogno del miglior Adam contro l'attacco aereo di Arizona.
