La firma del tender apre la possibilità della trade, finchè non firmava restava per forza dov'era.

On top of the $16.7 million in guaranteed money, Peppers could earn another $1.5 million if he makes the Pro Bowl and $250,000 for each playoff win, giving him one of the highest single-season contracts in NFL history.

Carey said the Panthers made no promise that they won't place the franchise tag on him again in 2010.

In un anno prende quasi 17 milioni di dollari e gli danno pure gli incentivi?

Sinceramente non trovo un senso a questa cosa.

mettiamo che i panthers facciano tutte le partite di playoff peppers guadagnerebbe 16.7 + 1.5 (probowl) + 0.250 + 0.250 + 0.250 + 0.250 + premio per la vittoria al SB 19.2 mil di dollari più il premio x il superbowl..

sti cazzi... speriamo li prenda sul serio tutti sti soldi

E se non ricordo male i Vikings(con Bears e Lions) sono una squadra acerrima rivale dei Packers.

It would be the least-surprising news of the summer -- Brett Favre joining the Vikings.

WCCO-TV in Minneapolis reported Tuesday that a source has told them that Favre and the Vikings have reached agreement on a contract that is heavy with incentives.

Barring an unforeseen physical setback, Favre will be at Vikings training camp when it opens in late July.

The source also said Minnesota's equipment manager has already ordered No. 4 jerseys with Favre's name on them, which means Vikings quarterback John David Booty will have to change his number.

An ESPN reporter asked Packers General Manager Ted Thompson if he was taking it personally that Favre plans to play for Minnesota.

Thomspon's reply was, "No, no, no, no."
