Westbrook, Carmona e Lee + due tra (Rondon, Huff, Laffey, Reyes, Scott Lewis (sani ovvio) )fanno un pitching staff quanto meno decente.
E poi se si cede Lee vuol dire dire addio già da ora al 2010.
Non vedo molti buoni motivi per cedere Lee ora, anche considerando che a luglio 2010 avrà molto valore ugualmente.
In più:
IF you trade Lee you have to trade Martinez...or sign him right now. We have given up 2010 if you trade Lee and we only own Martinez for 2010.
IF you trade Lee Shapiro CANNOT make the same mistake he made with CC: getting no pitching back in return. Not getting a ML-ready starter killed us this year. Not getting a ML-ready baseball player only added to the problem.

Pirates Acquire Jeff Clement For Jack Wilson
Dejan Kovacevic of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette says the Mariners acquire Jack Wilson in the deal.

Mariners acquire Wilson and Ian Snell for Clement, Ronny Cedeno, Aaron Pribanic, Brett Lorin and Nathan Adcock.

A parte Lorin che sembra legittimo, da una veloce occhiata, gli altri due mi sembrano poca cosa....però sono poca cosa anche Wilson e Snell :)

12:03pm: Gordon Edes and Tim Brown of Yahoo report that the Phillies appear to be "on the verge" of acquiring Cliff Lee from the Indians for Carrasco, Knapp and at least two of Donald, Marson and Michael Taylor.

Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi report that the sides have agreed to a deal that sends Cliff Lee and Ben Francisco to Philly for Jason Knapp, Carlos Carrasco, Jason Donald and Lou Marson. The teams still have to examine medical records for the deal to go through.

Direi che è ufficiale...non conosco bene i prospetti coinvolti, quindi non so giudicare. Tuttavia Lee per i Phillies....ahia, c'è da aver paura

Knapp è forte
Carrasco non mi piace per nulla invece.
Gli altri due non li saprei giudicare.
