Come sono invece (vedevo il link ma non riesco a capirlo fino in fondo, il mio inglese non arriva a tanto) le regole per i blackout televisivi?

A Tampa dicono che sia per lo stadio: è costruito lontano dalle case, dall'altra parte della baia, ed è quindi particolarmente difficile da raggiungere. I Rays dicono di avere un buon mercato, ma con una pessima ubicazione dello stadio.
I Marlins invece continuano ad averlo vuoto, ma non è un problema per i Dolphins, quindi evidentemente non sono stati capaci di generare sufficiente interesse.
L'ex stadio dei Marlins non mi sembra un modello per quanto riguarda la visibilità e lo ripeto non sappiamo come si dividevano gli extra Marlins e Dolphins (e per il fatto che il proprietario dello stadio possiede anche i Phins non so quanti soldi i Marlins hanno visto da concerti e simili). Adesso i Marlins con lo stadio solo loro non hanno più questa scusa.

cartina mi sembra dire il contrario. Io non sto parlando di tifo ma converrai con me che è diverso vendere dei diritti tv per 2 milioni e spicci di spettatori o per 34 milioni di cui gran parte in esclusiva.
Tutta la parte nord di quella cartina è spopolata. Il centro e l'ovest vedi bene che non sono nemmeno considerati mercati esclusivi....

Nel frattempo, Manny prova a rientrare. A quanto pare per un cavillo la squalifica di 100 partite che avrebbe dovuto prendere l'anno scorso (se ricordate, si ritirò per non dover "subire" la punizione) non sarebbe applicabile, anche se MLBPA e MLB sembra abbiano trovato un accordo che gli farà saltare 50 partite.

Octavio Dotel, firmando per i Tigers, è andato nella sua tredicesima squadra. Record MLB assoluto, da solo. Di queste 13 squadre, 9 sono arrivate dal 2007 in poi, incredibilmente. Ricordo quando è andato agli Yankees ed era solo alla quarta squadra... impensabile, si è girato quasi mezza MLB.

Sarà realizzato un film su Jackie Robinson. Nel cast c'è anche Harrison Ford. Speriamo bene.

Manny Ramirez has officially been reinstated from the voluntary retirement list by Major League Baseball, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney on Saturday morning.

Dotel che ha lasciato un brutto ricordo a LA, se non altro perchè è stato usato male ed in una stagione con record negativo, dopo esser stato protagonista di una delle peggiori trade architettate da Colletti.

A leggere le indiscrezioni, si intitolerà "42" e il ruolo di Jackie Robinson verrà interpretato da Chadwick Boseman. Harrison Ford invece dovrebbe vestire i panni di Branch Rickey, personaggio leggendario che al tempo dell'approdo di Robinson a Brooklyn era il GM dei Dodgers.

A spokesman for Braun confirmed the positive test Saturday and issued a statement: "There are highly unusual circumstances surrounding this case which will support Ryan's complete innocence and demonstrate there was absolutely no intentional violation of the program. While Ryan has impeccable character and no previous history, unfortunately, because of the process we have to maintain confidentiality and are not able to discuss it any further, but we are confident he will ultimately be exonerated."
USA TODAY reported Saturday night that Braun said of the test result: "It's B.S."
The 28-year-old Braun had to provide a urine sample for testing during the playoffs, and he was notified of the positive test sometime in late October -- about a month before he was named the National League's most valuable player.
The positive result was triggered by elevated levels of testosterone in Braun's system, the sources also told "Outside the Lines." A subsequent, more comprehensive test revealed the testosterone was synthetic -- not produced by Braun's body.
Every individual naturally produces testosterone and a substance called epitestosterone, typically at a ratio of 1-to-1. In Major League Baseball, if the ratio comes in at 4-to-1 or higher during testing, a player is deemed to have tested positive. The sources did not indicate how high above the threshold Braun's sample tested.
Però poi dovranno spiegare come è possibile che testosterone sintetico sia stato assunto senza che Braun fosse consenziente.
Tra l'altro non hanno comunicato il livello di testosterone rilevato.

Mi spiace un sacco per questa vicenda. Per la carità aspettiamo gli sviluppi, però proprio a Braun fa male, quante partite dei Brewers ho guardato in questi 2 anni quasi solo per lui...
