Grazie del benvenuto..I Phillies mi hanno subito colpito..giocano un buon baseball e poi hanno un pubblico e uno stadio favolosi..

Interleague series from June 25-27 shifted due to G20 Summit

BOSTON -- The Blue Jays' home schedule got a little thinner on Tuesday. Due to security and congestion concerns over the upcoming G20 Summit in Toronto, the Blue Jays have moved a three-game series against the Phillies scheduled for next month to Philadelphia.

On June 26-27, many of the world's financial and political leaders will convene in downtown Toronto at the Metro Convention Center -- just steps away from the Blue Jays' home at Rogers Centre. The Jays were originally scheduled to host the Phillies the same weekend, beginning on June 25.

Si userà il DH e Toronto sarà a tutti gli effetti la squadra di casa.

Ma giocare a Vancouver, o boh ad Ottawa o dove c'è no stadio decente no?.....già si "sapeva" ma si sperava che l'avessero lasciata...quei 3 giorni i tifosi che han preso i biglietti solo per Doc spero facciano del casino

devo dar ragione a IBJ, anche con l'uso del dh, la squadrà di casa sarà Phila! impossibile che nn c'era uno stadio nelle vicinanze in modo, giustamente, da favorire i tifosi di toronto? certo Vancouver sarà in canada ma è più lontano di philadelphia

partita dominata dai battitori a colorado e quand'è così il ns lineup è secondo a pochi, infatti la portiamo a casa!
continua il momento d'oro di Victorino, ma l'eroe di giornata è Ruiz per lui hr, 2rbi e 6tb

partenti pessimi al limite dell'inguardabile (kendrick per noi e Smith per loro, nonostante questultimo realizzi 6k)!

Romero è ancora fuori forma dal rientro dall'infortunio, continua il momento magico di Contreras ( o.77 di era)

stanotte se Doc fa il suo dovere ci sarà poco da dire, anche se Cook a memoria contro di noi ha fatto bene

Elbow stiffness keeps Lidge out of ninth
Phils go with Contreras in final frame of Monday's victory
Lidge said that he felt some stiffness in his right elbow after picking up a save Sunday against the Atlanta Braves at Citizens Bank Park which carried into Monday. So when the time came for the Phillies to pitch somebody in the ninth inning, they chose Jose Contreras.

Lidge said he threw before the game and still felt the discomfort.

"Today, it didn't feel great," Lidge said. "I'm not worried. It's some of the things hopefully we won't have to deal with for very long. Out of surgery, here and there, there might be something like that. I guess it's pretty normal. That's what they told me. Hopefully I'll be ready to go tomorrow."

Lidge had surgery on his right elbow in November following the World Series. He received a cortisone injection in the elbow in March and spent most of April rehabbing. He is 0-0 with a 2.70 ERA and one save in four appearances

Castro fills in at shortstop in ninth

Infielder Juan Castro played shortstop in the ninth inning Monday when the Phillies pinch-hit for shortstop Wilson Valdez.

Castro had not played since Wednesday, when he strained a ligament in his left leg. He said after the 9-5 victory over the Rockies that he likely will not be completely ready to play until this weekend against the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park.

Castro had been playing in place of shortstop Jimmy Rollins, who is in Clearwater, Fla., recovering from a strained right calf. But with Rollins and Castro both out, Wilson Valdez has been playing shortstop. He is hitting .172 with three RBIs.

Left-hander J.A. Happ, who is on the 15-day disabled list with a strained flexor pronator muscle in his left arm, is throwing from 90 feet. He is not yet ready to throw off the mound, and the Phillies are taking things more slowly this time to make sure Happ won't feel any soreness when he returns to the mound.

Grande il periodo di Victorino..anche Gload ieri e stato decisivo nel 9th..peccato per i continui infortuni..

dicevo vancouver perchè ci sono molti tifosi Jays che auspicano prima o poi che qualche partita la la facciano, ma non so A, se cisia uno stadio adatto e B, il calendario delle serie precedente e successiva delle squadre :D
