L'Italia ha corso in maniera fantastica ( al lavoro di Bruseghin e Ballan) mettendo Bettini ma anche Rebellin in condizione di provarci. Tanto lavoro che stava per andare in fumo per colpa di un tracciato calibrato male, per fortuna che Bettini, Valverde, Kroon e Zabel hanno avuto quell'invenzione che ha sparigliato le carte quando ormai sembrava tutto apparecchiato per il volatone finale. Valverde non ne aveva per la volata ristretta, e l'attuale Bettini può tranquillamente battere Zabel allo sprint. Così è andata, chapeau.

A 32 anni la ciliegina sulla torta di una carriera stupenda, veramente un campione, dopo aver fatto la corsa ha battuto Zabel in volata (non l'ultimo degli sconosciuti), un anche a lui a 36 anni. Inesauribile Paolino!!! Ora finalmente potrà esibire la maglia, quella olimpica non l'ha potuta esibire.

Lo aspetto nel 2008 dalle mie parti a Varese, potrebbe chiudere la carriera vincendo un mondiale in Italia... :hehe:

Ma godiamoci uno dei + grandi campione del ciclismo, il finale su Eurosport mi ha emozionato
