- Before a Justin Smoak single in the fourth inning, the Mariners were 0-58 against Feliz in his career.

From Elias: That is the longest start-of-career streak of hitless at-bats against one team for any major league pitcher in the expansion era (since 1961). The previous record was 48 by Billy Wagner against the Pirates.

5: wild pitches by Freddy Garcia on Tuesday night, tying the American League record
9: consecutive games with an RBI for Matt Kemp, tying the Dodgers' franchise record (Roy Campanella in '55, Augie Galan in '44).
58: all-time at-bats for the Mariners without a hit against Neftali Feliz before a fourth-inning single by Justin Smoak
73.9: strike percentage Tuesday for Clayton Kershaw, a career best

- Ian Kinsler's deal is the richest ever for a second baseman.

The rare occurence of the expected.

Jamie Moyer turned in a vintage performance in becoming the oldest pitcher to ever win a major league game.

That's important to note since before Moyer's gem the oldest pitcher to win a game in the majors was Jack Quinn of the Brooklyn Dodgers on Sept. 13, 1932, when he was 49 years, 70 days old.
