The New Orleans Saints have finally caved in and made Drew Brees an offer he can't refuse.

According to Mike Triplett of The Times-Picayune, the Saints franchise and the star quarterback are on the verge of agreeing to a five-year deal worth somewhere between $19.2 and $20 million per season, which would be the wealthiest contract in NFL history.

The two parties have until July 16 to hammer out the exact parameters of this deal. Otherwise, Brees would have to play out the year on the franchise tag amount of $16.4 million and could not negotiate a new contract until after the season.

The 33-year-old signal-caller should gladly accept the Saints' offer, but his agent could be working to squeeze a few more guaranteed dollars from the organization up until the deadline.

Sembra che Brees ed i Saints siano vicini all'accordo per il nuovo contratto.

L'Arena non mi gusta,ma la Canadian si e non poco.
Indubbiamente i MNF datati che trasmettevano al Lunedi' la scorsa estate erano da sbavare...Evidentemente costavano troppo....
Che poi piu' che surrogato e' proprio un'altro sport...

secondo me sarà più simile ad un 55x3, con gli altri 2 anni più alti ma non garantiti
