Qualche settinama fa Zito ha perso la mamma, può darsi che alla base delle sue prestazioni ci fossero anche motivi extra-sportivi; difficilmente potrà offrire un rendimento adeguato al megacontratto che ha, però se gioca come nella seconda parte della stagione scorsa e con un po' di supporto dell'attacco il suo onesto contributo lo può dare.
Per quanto rigurda l'attacco ora si parla di Dunn e Burrell, oltre che di una trade con gli Yankees per Nady.

Boh, a me sembra che San Francisco non abbia fatto tutti questi gran passi avanti rispetto all'anno scorso... o meglio, non tali da vincere la division...
Comunque vedendo anche la situazione dei Padres (e allo stato attuale anche la nostra) mi sembra che la NL West quest'anno sarà ancora + scarsa del solito... o è una mia impressione..?

Beh, se voi firmerete Manny allora la favorita ci sarebbe, anche se secondo me vi manca almeno uno SP (avete perso Lowe e Maddux, e soprattutto il primo era importantissimo; magari arriverà Pettitte).
I Giants hanno un buonissima rotazione (occhio però a non sopravvalutare Big Unit, che qualcosa può ancora dare ma che non è più il fenomeno di qualche anno fa), ma il lineup lascia alquanto a desiderare...manca potenza, mancava già l'anno scorso e fino ad ora il problema non è stato risolto. Se arrivasse uno tra Adam Dunn/Pat Burrell/Manny allora...ma per adesso direi Dodgers su tutti. I DBacks non mi entusiasmano ma alla fine saranno lì a lottare (è la squadra del 2007 alla fine, senza Johnson e Hudson). Padres e Rockies...sarà una stagione lunga.

Premesso che è ancora presto per dire chi sono i favoriti perché ancora ci saranno movimenti che possono cambiare la situazione, direi che noi qualche migliormento lo abbiamo fatto (credo che Renteria, Johnson ed Affledt faranno meglio di quello che hanno fatto nel 2007 Vizquel, Correia ed Hannessey) mentre le altre della NL West sono rimaste quelle che erano o sono peggiorate; senza dimenticare che prima dell'arrivo di Manny i Dodgers non è che ne avessere vinte tante più di noi l'anno scorso.

Al momento l'escluso dalla rotazione è sicuramente Lowry visto che c'è ancora incertezza sulle sue condizioni fisiche e per questo motivo anche una trade che lo coinvolgesse è da escludere; diffcile pensare anche ad una trade con Cain (fosse arrivato Sabathia magari un pensierino ce lo si poteva fare ma così no), l'unico SP scambiabile è Sanchez ma solo se ne vale realmente la pena.
