The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Saturday, May 3, that they have signed undrafted rookie free-agent WR Kevin Marion (Wake Forest). Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Marion will wear jersey No. 80.
2006: Ranked 10th in the ACC and 51st in the NCAA in kickoff returns with an average of 22.3 yards per return... played in 13 games and started five contests... returned 22 kickoffs for 490 yards, including a 93-yarder on the opening kickoff against Clemson... rushed 23 times for 210 yards, including an 81-yard touchdown run against Boston College... caught 10 passes for 117 yards... made a career-high four receptions against Louisville in the FedEx Orange Bowl for 63 yards.
2005: One of the team's top big play threats... played in eight games as a reserve wide receiver and the team's primary kickoff returner... finished fourth on the team with 490 all-purpose yards... caught three passes for 67 yards and one touchdown... rushed six times for 89 yards and two touchdowns... returned 18 kickoffs for 334 yards, an average of 18.6 yards per return and a long of 32... rushed for a 67-yard touchdown at Florida State, the 16th longest run in Wake Forest history... caught the game-winning touchdown pass from Cory Randolph with 33 seconds left in a 31-27 win against Clemson... had a 45-yard reception against Vanderbilt... made a 16-yard reception and averaged 24.8 yards per kickoff return against Maryland... returned five kicks for 104 yards at Florida State... suspended for the final three games of the season due to a violation of team rules.
2004: Made an immediate impact in his rookie season with the Deacons... ranked second on the team with 747 all-purpose yards behind only Chris Barclay... was the team's primary kickoff returner, averaging 23.0 yards per return and a long of 43... was the team's fifth-leading receiver with 14 catches for 172 yards... scored his first career touchdown on a 30-yard strike from Benjamin Mauk during the Duke game... made his first career reception against East Carolina... had two catches in that game for 11 yards... had a career-high four receptions for 47 yards against Virginia Tech... made two catches against Duke for 35 yards and two catches against Maryland for 36 yards... had one reception each against Boston College, Florida State, Miami and North Carolina.
2003: Redshirted the season as a true freshman.
