Dear Mother
Dear Father
What Is this Hell You Have Put Me Through
Believer
Deceiver
Day in Day out Live My Life Through You
Pushed onto Me What's Wrong or Right
Hidden from this Thing That They Call Life

Dear Mother
Dear Father
Every Thought I'd Think You'd Disapprove
Curator
Dictator
Always Censoring My Every Move
Children Are Seen But Are Not Heard
Tear out Everything Inspired

Innocence
Torn from Me Without Your Shelter
Barred Reality
I'm Living Blindly

Dear Mother
Dear Father
Time Has Frozen Still What's Left to Be
Hear Nothing
Say Nothing
Cannot Face the Fact I Think for Me
No Guarantee,it's Life as Is
But Damn You for Not Giving Me My Chance

Dear Mother
Dear Father
You Clipped My Wings Before I Learnt to Fly
Unspoiled
Unspoken
I've Outgrown That Fucking Lullaby
Same Thing I've Always Heard from You
Do as I Say Not as I Do

Innocence
Torn from Me Without Your Shelter
Barred Reality
I'm Living Blindly
I'm in Hell Without You
Cannot Cope Without You Two
Shocked at the World That I See
Innocent Victim Please Rescue Me

Dear Mother
Dear Father
Hidden in Your World You've Made for Me
I'm Seething
I'm Bleeding
Ripping Wounds in Me That Never Heal
Undying Spite I Feel for You
Living out this Hell You Always Knew

giustamente avendola postato qualche giorno fa apprezzo  :metal:

Sto riscoprendo dischi dell'adolescenza. Quell'anno di lateralus, il 2001 -grandioso- uscì anche un disco, molto meno epocale di quello dei tool, ma che si fece ascoltare molto volentieri.

Jack Johnson & Eddie vedder - Constellations

Image

"The light was leaving, in the west it was blue
The children's laughter sang
Skipping just like the stones they threw
The voices echoed across the way
It's getting late

It was just another night
With the sun set
And the moon rise not so far behind
To give us just enough light

To lay down underneath the stars
Listen to papas translations
Of the stories across the sky
We drew our own constellations

The west winds often last too long
The wind may calm down
Nothing ever feels the same
Sheltered under the Kamani tree
Waiting for the passing rain

Clouds keep moving to uncover the scene
Stars above are chasing the day away
To find the stories that we sometimes need
Listen close enough
All else fades, fades away

It was just another night
With the sun set
And the moon rise not so far behind
To give us just enough light

To lay down underneath the stars
Listen to all the translations
Of the stories across the sky
We drew our own constellations"

continua a cadere giù
attraverso il giorno
come se fossimo in un oceano
aspettando qui
sempre senza riuscire a ricordare perchè siamo venuti qui
mi domando perchè siamo venuti qui
tu mi parli
come se fossi lontano
ed io rispondo
con sensazioni prese da un altro tempo
da un altro tempo

Titolo: Borghesia
Autore: Claudio Lolli
Album: Aspettando Godot (1972)

Testo:

ti raduni nelle tue Chiese in ogni città, in ogni paese.
Presti ascolto all'omelia rinunciando all'osteria

Artist: The Chordettes
Song: Mr. Sandman
Year: 1954

Image

(scat “bung, bung, bung, bung..........)

Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream (bung, bung, bung, bung)
Make him the cutest that I've ever seen (bung, bung, bung, bung)
Give him two lips like roses and clover (bung, bung, bung, bung)
Then tell him that his lonesome nights are over.
Sandman, I'm so alone
Don't have nobody to call my own
Please turn on your magic beam
Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream.

(scat “bung, bung, bung, bung.….)

Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream
Make him the cutest that I've ever seen
Give him the word that I'm not a rover
Then tell him that his lonesome nights are over.
Sandman, I'm so alone
Don't have nobody to call my own
Please turn on your magic beam
Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream.

(scat “bung, bung, bung, bung)

Mr. Sandman (male voice: “Yesss?) bring us a dream
Give him a pair of eyes with a “come-hither” gleam
Give him a lonely heart like Pagliacci
And lots of wavy hair like Liberace
Mr Sandman, someone to hold (someone to hold)
Would be so peachy before we're too old
So please turn on your magic beam
Mr Sandman, bring us, please, please, please
Mr Sandman, bring us a dream.

(scat “bung, bung, bung, bung….)

The Shins - Phantom Limb

Image

"Foals in winter coats
White girls of the North,
File past one, five and one,
They are the fabled lambs of Sunday ham, the EHS norm
And they could float above the grass in circles if they tried
A latent power I know they hide
To keep some hope alive that a girl like I could ever try,
Could ever try

So we just skirt the hallway sides
A phantom and a fly
Follow the lines and wonder why
There's no connection

A week of rolling eyes,
and cheap shots from the trite,
And we're often on marcus porch again,
Another afternoon with the goathead tunes,
And pilfered booze.
We wander through her mamma's house
The milk from the window lights
Family portrait circa '95
This is that foreign land of the sprayed-on tans
And it all feels fine
Be it silk or slime

So, when they tap our Monday heads
To zombie walk in our stead
This town seems hardly worth our time
And we'll no longer memorize or rhyme,
Too far along in our climb
Stepping over what now towers to the sky,
With no connection

Oooh waooooooo waooooooo
Oooh waooooooo waooooooo
Oooh waooooooo waooooooo
Oooh waooooooo waooooooo

So when they tap our Sunday heads
Two zombies walk in our stead
This town seems hardly worth our time
And we'll no longer memorize or rhyme,
Too far along in our crime,
Stepping over what now towers to the sky,
With no connection

Oooh waooooooo waooooooo
