His first pitch resulted in a Rickie Weeks home run to left.
His second pitch was a strike.
His third pitch was a Prince Fielder home run to right field.
Then he gave up a double and a couple of singles.
1IP, 5H, 3 ER e 2HR
Prosegue la campagna trionfale di Sandy Rosario.
Ieri in 0IP (cioè nessun out) con 14 lanci ha concesso 4H, 1BB per 3ER.
ERA a 54!

Joe Morgan is anti-Felix for Cy Young: "Felix had a fabulous year but his teammates didn't support him. And it's still a team game." What???

Possibili scenari Play off:
Potential ties would break down as such:
• If the Padres take two of three from the Giants and the Braves are swept by the Phillies, the Giants will win the NL west and the Padres and Braves will play a one-game tiebreaker at Turner Field on Monday to decide the Wild Card.
• If the Padres sweep the Giants and the Braves are swept by the Phillies, the Padres will win the NL West by virtue of their head-to-head advantage against the Giants, and the Giants will win the Wild Card.
• If the Padres sweep the Giants and the Braves lose two of three to the Phillies, there will be a three-way tie by virtue of each team finishing with a 91-71 record, in which case two tiebreakers will be played. The Giants and Padres will first play a one-game tiebreaker at PETCO Park on Monday to decide the victor of the NL West, and the loser of that game would then travel to Atlanta to decide the Wild Card against the Braves on Tuesday.
:gazza:

Poz:
it is not impossible that the Padres or Giants could play:
Sunday in San Francisco.
Monday in San Diego
Tuesday in Atlanta
Wednesday in Philadelphia.
Four cities in four days. I’d say that hasn’t happened since Satchel Paige’s barnstorming days.*
*This leads to a fascinating point — it probably would be to the Phillies advantage to lose to the Braves Sunday. If they lose, there’s a chance for this three-team, two-game playoff, which could utterly wreck the rotation of the team facing the Phillies in the playoffs. Baseball should not have a system where LOSING is better for a team than WINNING

Chi deciderà la corsa playoff? Il campo? L'MLB?
"I think God is going to decide who wins," Tejada said. "I hope both (West) teams get to the playoffs."
