Mets Sign Bobby Livingston

MetsBlog.com - The Mets signed free-agent LHP Bobby Livingston to a minor-league deal, according to MLB.com.

Livingston last made 10 starts for the Reds in 2007, during which he allowed 33 runs in 56 innings pitched, while striking out 27 and walking eight.


2007???...cioè questo è due anni che non lancia??? ma perchè spendiamo soldi per gente del genere, nessun umano dotato di cervello lo farebbe...certo è un minor contract ma io non spenderei neanche 1 dollaro per gente del genere, non serve neanche in rookie league

Beltran dichiara di non aver mai avuto alcun tipo di negazione all'operazione:

“I am totally surprised by the reaction to my recent knee surgery.  Any accusations that I ignored or defied the team’s wishes are simply false.  I also spoke to Omar Minaya about the surgery on Tuesday.  He did not ask me to wait, or to get another doctor’s opinion.  He just wished me well. No one from team raised any issue until Wednesday, after I was already in surgery.  I do not know what else I could have done. The most important thing here is that the surgery was a total success and I expect to be back on the field playing the game I love sooner rather than later.”

mi sfuggerebbe il motivo per cui vogliano farlo fuori...sono piu' propenso a credere alla pazzia e, visto cosa combina minchionaya (e non solo lui) da un po' di tempo a questa parte, tengo a credere a Carlos...

Che non lancia in MLB. Ha lanciato nelle minors nel frattempo.

Non ho idea se vogliano farlo fuori o meno, era un'ipotesi mia perchè davvero mi sfugge il senso di questo litigio. Anche io propendo per credere a Beltran anche se immagino che ci siano state cose dette e non dette che poi ognuno ha voluto interpretare a modo suo. Certo mi viene difficile pensare ad un giocatore come Beltran che decide di testa sua e va a farsi operare senza avvertire nessuno...

Mets GM Omar Minaya told Newsday, contrary to what Carlos Beltran said in his statement last night, he did not give Beltran an OK to have knee surgery.

“Carlos did speak to me before surgery and we had a good conversation,” Minaya is quoted as saying. “It was one of those things as far as he was telling me what the second opinion was and all… I didn’t give an OK.”

Mah...non vorrei che Carlos abbia deciso di fare di testa sua vista la scarsa fiducia nel nostro training staff.

Minaya dice che è tutto a posto...   

Speriamo sia l'ultimo capitolo di una storia francamente ridicola per la gestione...
