The Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League signed former MLB closer Armando Benitez, according to Adam Rubin of ESPNNewYork.com. The 39-year-old has 289 career saves in 15 MLB seasons. He last appeared in the Major Leagues with the 2008 Blue Jays.

Comunque si, direi buone entrambe. Montero era FA a fine stagione (dunque è tutta free agency quella acquistata) ed è un C, mentre Adam Jones sarebbe stato FA dopo il 2013, però gli anni dovrebbero essere 6 se non ho visto male su MLBTR, incluso il 2013 (da arbitration).

Adam Jones mi sembra esploso definitivamente...
magari è small sample size ma parliamo di uno forte e giovane in quella posizione,dove per prendere meglio dovresti svenarti a livello economico
