Dal draft sono disponibili Stafford, Bradford, Sanchez

Sanchez non viene considerato troppo, è non ho capito se esce o no. In ogni caso non lo vedo NFL ready, anche se non è un cattivo QB
Stafford/Bradford vengono dati come 1 scelta dei Lions da molti. Chi avanza dei due difficilmente scende alla nostra scelta, essendoci prima di noi anche KC, che magari ad un QB ci fa un pensierino.
Per noi danno in molti una scelta di difesa, tenendo anche presente che poco fa (...) ci siamo scottati pescando un QB come prima scelta.

Ravens e Falcons hanno dimostrato che quancosa di buono si potrebbe cavare da un QB rookie, anche se la forza dei Ravens è la D, quella dei Falcons è il RB, cioè a nessuno dei loro QB viene chiesto di vincere la partita.
Noi non abbiamo una forza che vinca la partita, ogni reparto deve fare il suo piccolo, QB compreso


Nella free agency mi piace solo Cassel (Mimmo prima aveva fatto i nomi di Brady, Bulger e Palmer che però non trovo disponibili, ma probabilmente sono solo inabile con internet). Gira voce che Cassel venga taggato, cosa che può aver senso se NE vuole mettersi al riparo in caso di problemi nel post infortunio di Brady.
C'è anche Warner, che però non lo vedo adatto a noi, essendo sempre più vecchio e avendo un corpo ricevitori da noi nettamente inferiore a quello dei Cards.
C'è il vecchio Garcia, che fa sempre brodo, ma anche qui l'età avanza

I'm told former Rams coach Scott Linehan is definitely on the list of candidates for the 49ers' offensive-coordinator position. But no interview has yet been confirmed. To this point, I've heard no other names.

Ma in compenso, torna come RB coach una faccia nota:

Tom Rathman has accepted the 49ers' offer to take over as the club's running backs coach, he confirmed just moments ago as he was leaving Alameda after clearing out his belongings at the Raiders' complex.

The National Football Post reported the 49ers have named Rathman as the team's new RB coach. The club has yet to make any announcement because Rathman has not signed a contract. The 49ers do not announce contract agreements until the deal has been signed. Update (5:30 p.m.): The 49ers have just confirmed the "agreement."

But Rathman said the club has offered him the position, and he has accepted. He said he will probably sign the contract in Santa Clara tomorrow.

Rathman interviewed for the position earlier today with coach Mike Singletary and general manager Scot McCloughan. Rathman takes over for Tony Nathan, whom Singletary fired after his only season on the 49ers' staff.

sì, sì, quest'anno ha fatto una figura decorosa quando ho rimpiazzato Ben, ma vista anche la storia in infortuni non ce lo vedo a reggere 16 partite di sack a  nastro. Come secondo/terzo sì, ma a SF serve il primo.

non dimentichiamo il lavoro che "Bruise Crew" ha fatto con Garrison Hearst, Charlie Garner e Kevan Barlow quando era assistente di Mariucci. Ha praticamente resuscitato le carriere Nfl dei primi due e anche Barlow i primi due anni sotto Rathman ha giocato bene.
(Ci sarebbe stato anche Lawrence Phillips, ma quello era un caso disperato :gazza:)

But what of the passing game? Rathman has only dealt with running backs, he's never coached receivers, quarterbacks or even tight ends and that might be the reason he's only being looked at as the running backs coach. That's where receivers coach Jerry Sullivan comes in. If Rathman were hired, the 49ers could promote Sullivan to co-offensive coordinator. This is basically how the 49ers did it under Bill Walsh, George Seifert and even Steve Mariucci. The offensive coordinator, whether it was Walsh, Mike Holmgren, or Shanahan would develop the passing game plan every week, while McKittrick created the running plays. The coordinator would then "coordinate" the plays and make the calls on game day with heavy input from McKittrick. If the coordinator wanted a run play later in the game, they'd ask McKittrick what he would suggest.

Sullivan has been an offensive coordinator (2003 with Arizona) and he shares Rathman's passion for coaching the small details. When Sullivan coordinated the Cardinals' offense, Arizona finished last in points, but the team had no talent and Arizona was led by aging stars Jeff Blake and Emmitt Smith (who averaged 2.8 yards per carry). With better talent and a firmer overall grasp of his personnel, Sullivan could do the job. He and Rathman could also get assistance from offensive line coach Chris Foerster, who's also been an offensive coordinator.

With co-coordinators the offensive plan would be much more consensual, which Singletary prefers. He met with all the defensive coaches last year and contributed to the game planning every week. When he wanted to know what was going on on offense, he only talked to Mike Martz.
Singletary is more of a consensual, we're-all-in-it-together type.

Rathman would fit with Singletary's style in form and substance.

...non lo so ma è sicuramente l'anno sbagliato (causa marea di franchigie in cerca di un HC) per andare a risistemare l'organigramma tecnico...

Comunque ottimo il ritorno del Rathman.

Sembra che i due candidati per la posizione di OC siano Rob Chudzinski e Scott Linehan
Il primo se facesse bene potrebbe con noi potrebbe trovare un posto da OC gia' il prossimo anno, ma l'importante sarebbe che facesse veramente cosi' bene con noi da non poter essere intervistato subito dopo la week 17 :hehe:

Nella free agency mi piace solo Cassel (Mimmo prima aveva fatto i nomi di Brady, Bulger e Palmer che però non trovo disponibili, ma probabilmente sono solo inabile con internet).

Non li troverai perchè io quei tre nomi li avevo messi un po' a casaccio, senza conoscere la situazione contrattuale tra il giocatore e la propria squadra.
Avevo solo fatto la considerazione per due di loro (Palmer e Bulger) che potrebbero essere invogliati a cambiare aria perchè Cincy e Rams mi sembrano due squadre in rebuilding mode e loro sono due QB che non avendo ancora vinto nulla potrebbero essere interessati ad andare in una squadra che deve fare un salto di qualità nel breve periodo.
Per Brady avevo solo pensato che se davvero i Pats mettono il franchise tag a Cassell perchè magari lo vedono come il qb del futuro, ovviamente Tom va a prendersi dei bei $ da qualche altra parte e SF potrebbe essere una buona scelta perchè essendo di San Mateo sarebbe a casa propria, lui andrebbe a giocare a golf a Pebble Beach tutti i giorni e la moglie potrebbe mostrare il decolleté anche tra novembre e maggio.
